I found both of these. Would { 63MM IN 114MM OUT } work? Is { 63MM IN 114MM OUT } going to be "longer" from sticking out past the bumper than { 63 MM IN 105 MM OUT } for the MBRP catback exhaust?

I know you want to make a statement and go big but it’s at your own risk. Not sure if anyone on here with MBRP went this route before and go beyond the size recommended.

The “105” in 63x105mm isn’t the length of the exhaust tip, rather the width of the oval outlet. So it’s a 63mm diameter inlet (obviously circular), and the outlet is a 75x105mm oval. By going with 114mm, you’re increasing the size of the oval outlet, which may not fit (in the bumper or next to each other on each side of the exhaust).

no exhaust tips will change the sound or have any performance benefit. Only carry it out from under the car. The MBRP is definitely louder than stock, I assure you. The only time it might be mistaken for stock is when the car is fully warmed up and at idle. On cold start, way louder. Under 3000rpm, definitely louder. Above 3000rpm, starts to really sing. Either exhaust is going to have the same performance benefit (which is very slight).

The 63mm in and 105mm out are diameters, not length. SO 114mm probably wont fit unless you cut a big hole in the bumper. Most tips clamp to the pipe itself so you can adjust how far they stick out past the bumper. Also Im not sure if you know but Aliexpress is a chinese shipper, it might take a while to get your stuff if you get it at all. I wont use them but i know plenty of people that have. To each their own.

I just want to confirm that there is NO downside to purchasing this ( 2.5" Cat Back, Dual Rear Exit, T304 Kia Stinger 3.3L RWD/AWD 2018 - 2021 ) catback exhaust system? Whether it is from a performance or reliability or fuel economy stand point there should be no issues at all correct?

Also, from reading on Borla's website, they say their exhaust tips are meant to be attached to their catback exhaust system. I don't see exhaust tips by MBRP either it seems. Will need to do a bit more research on what to get now. I really want to avoid molding, bending, or cutting anything on my car to get the exhaust tips attached.

Thanks again all! :)

only downside is a little drone inside the car, getting aftermarket tips helps reduce the drone, aftermarket tips extends the exhaust gas to outside of the car, if no aftermarket tips, the gas gets trap under the car and cause drone.
Maybe other downside is if you park inside the garage, the cold start will be a little louder if a bedroom is next to or above the garage.
Like others have said, getting Oval 63x105 is a perfect fit, no trimming or cutting needed to the bumper. Going bigger than 105 does not increase the length, it will increase the width.
Most aftermarket tips comes with clamps that goes onto the end of the exhaust, you can increase the length of the tips by not inserting the tips all the way into the exhaust, just make sure the clamps are still able to clamp

I am so silly lmfao! Learning measurements and basic geometry over here lol!

Thank you everyone! Legit the friendliest and "chillest" forums I have ever been on!

Very helpful and great information here!

Does anyone know of exhaust tips (any brand or make or model, makes no difference to me) that are { Oval 63x105 } and fit on a MBRP catback exhaust that are blue or titanium brushed?

May be a dumb question, but do the stock tips work with this exhaust?

No not to combat drone, which is the reason for aftermarket tips...

Stock tips are fake, if you look into the stock tips and exhaust, you’ll see the ends of the exhaust just “float” around the fake tips.
putting on any aftermarket exhaust with the stock tips will cause drone to be heard from in side of the car, as the exhaust gas just bounces around under the car.
putting aftermarket tips onto aftermarket exhaust will extend the gas outside, pass the rear bumper, no gas will be trapped under the car. Will help with drone.
As the aftermarket tips are clamped on the the ends of the aftermarket exhaust.

Why would Kia produce the stock tips to be fake? I believe you (just checked myself) but I think that's so strange...

you still havent made a decision?
I am going to order a Borla probably by the end of this week. I am just trying to confirm whether or not having a Borla catback with stock exhaust tips will make the car unbearable for daily driving or highway cruising.

Probably? I cant be the only one thinking this, you've been asking and talking about which to get for over 6 months now. If you haven't pulled the trigger yet... are you ever?

Considering how many threads and posts are dedicated to drone from the borla + stock tips, it's a very safe bet at this point. If you're getting the Borla, plan on getting new tips as well.

My apologies. I'm just the kind of person to research and plan my every move well in advance. I've done that with everything in my life. Whether it's buying a phone, investing in stocks, modifying a car, or whatever else... I like to know as much as possible and not make a decision until enough time has passed. I am going to buy a Borla catback... the only question now is how to get a good deal on the catback and where to grab an aftermarket set of tips that work properly and do not require me cutting/welding the stock bumper.

Ouch. :(

Looks like that is the proper course of action indeed! The only question now is where to grab exhaust tips that do not require cutting/welding or messing around with the stock bumper. Oh well!

How bad will the drone be on a 3.3 with a Borla catback but using stock tips?
You can also do the "Drone Fix" found somewhere in this thread. It involves wrapping the exhaust pipes with exhaust wrap, stuffing it into the inside of the tips and clamping it all down. Took me 30 minutes and completely eliminated the drone. Stock tips are in tact. They fit the overall shape of the car better than the round ones IMO. The rounds look pretty good too...albeit more aggressive.

I’m the same way, research research and more research.
How do you think I got a brand new 2020 GT RWD otd for $31,500??

Oval tips, no trimming. 51x105 for Borla
I went with the stock look for my mbrp.
But you can search on aliexpress for different one.

Glad I am not the only person who researches and takes forever to make a decision! ;) :D

This:

Oval Tip / 51 MM IN - 105 MM OUT

Is there a way to adjust color or am I missing it?
