Yeah just installed it, no reason to remove the pedal at all. Watched a couple vids about the install and they made it seem like you couldn't reach the clip without removing it.

Some thoughts, I have the 4S:

1.Easy install, you can easily reach the clip just behind the pedal and install the harness in-between. I wired mine up to the left and mounted the box to the right of the removeable plastic piece that I believe says fuses.

2. Easy to navigate, "M" switches modes and the "<" and ">" change the sensitivity in said mode. Each mode holds the sensitivity you have set for it, so if you want to switch you don't need to fiddle. Haven't checked the lock mode yet.

3. i-Auto is better than I expected, but I found it a tad unpredictable in the short time I used it. Maybe it needs longer to adapt to my driving but I personally won't be using it.

4. It also removes that delay we were talking about at the start of the thread, or its less noticeable. I have my custom drive mode with everything on sport except engine on comfort, mode on Race+ and Sensitivity 1 and its exactly what I hoped.

5. I would say about half or more of the pedal travel has been removed and it reacts so much faster to my inputs. It really changes how the car feels.

Can't speak highly enough about this upgrade. Even at the current price that is almost double I would say its worth it, it really brings the car to life a lot more IMO.

Glad you are happy with it. Mine still hasn’t shipped yet. They’re having some trouble with my shipping address not being “urban” enough even though there’s a DHL warehouse in my city.... Getting annoyed as it’s been 3 weeks.

Kind of funny that the guy that starts the thread gets his last...

That sucks man. Maybe have it shipped to someone you know or a post office?

100% worth the wait though.
 
After driving around a bit, here are my thoughts on the 4S (format borrowed from, and kudos to, narsnail):

1.Super-easy install. The "tether" of the harness, the wire that attaches to the unit via lightning cable attachment, is quite long, and I temporarily have it run along the side of my chair and into the armrest console

2. I have only tried the programmed drive modes (I have not tried i-Auto, Lock function, or the Unlock Settings function, and I probably never will)

3. I have tried all other settings, and for me, anything over SPORT is too sensitive for me. My personal setting is SPORT #4; it feels like the car reacts to a slight push of the gas without giving too much power. Unlike stock, which feels like almost no power is giving until the pedal travels past 15% or so

4. The feeling is subjective, but to me the feeling of sensitivity (at SPORT #4) is perfect, a big improvement over stock

Is the only difference between the 2 bluetooth ones is the screen? Cause I’m definitely interested in getting one with Kato’s discount code if it’s that cheap with basically all the same features as the other one!

Yeah I would get the Bluetooth one. It will have all the features you could want and you won't have to worry about running the cable for the screen. I can't seem to find a place to mount the screen where I like but thankfully if you unplug the screen the current setting will still be applied to the throttle.

Thanks for the quick reply, yeah that will be nice to not have to mess around with where to place the screen plus I already look at my phone everytime I start my car up for music so I can mess with the app then. I’m ordering one tonight first modification to my car that I’ve done then I’m getting a mando box next once I get paid!

It’s the exact this but no screen. Let me know when it comes. Lots of fun on the way!
 
This is where I mounted mine, incase anyone is having trouble figuring out where to put it(4S). At first I had the wire going through the fuse box, but you can go through the steering wheels cover/shroud/whatever its called.

Mine didn't stay stuck there very long, esp. w/the recent heat. I added some 3M DST and pressed firmly with my heel. So far, so good.
 
Finally got around to installing my 4S today. Went for a short 8 mile trip tonight just to see if I noticed a difference. I switched between normal, eco, sport, i-auto, etc. You could definitely feel the difference in throttle response just going from normal to sport. I'll take my car to work tomorrow so that will be 70 miles to play with it some more.
