Wow that really shows you it all comes down to the wheels! Mine are 9+35 and plenty of clearance. I do think 9+32 is closer to the ideal fitment for our cars in general.
Where are the 18" heads??? I saw on the Google Doc someone ran 18X8.5 +30 Fifteen 52 Turbomac wheels with 255/40. Not sure if it was on a GT with Brembos however..That's exactly what I'm looking to run.
No one is running that one yet though I specced it out to see if it would fit. It’s on my list when I need to replace my winter tires next time around, I love that wheel!

I should clarify, this should fit our Brembo cars just fine, 17” is the tricky one and may require custom length endlinks, but apparently that should work as well.

I misspoke. Although those Turbomac wheels are cool for a Rally/Winter look, I meant that size is what I'm after. I'm specifically looking at the Enkei RS-10 in 18X9.5 +35. Enkei is saying they don't recommend as they can't guarantee the fit. I think I may just buy one and mount it to see if it will clear the caliper...

Thanks for the replies. If I went with your suggestion of 9.5 +35 and 5mm spacers up front, what do you think I'll need for a spacer out back? I'd prefer to be flush as opposed to poking.
I'm wanting to run a 255/40-18 square set up, with a little concave. I think a 9" wheel would better suit the 255 for what I'm looking for.
The other alternative would be to run 8.5X18 on the front with a 245/45 and 9.5X18 on the back with 275/40. Tires would have the same circumference. I'm after more sidewall.
I started out with a set of 255/35R19 Firehawk Indy 500 tires on 19x9.5 Niche Misano M116 +35 wheels. I burned through the Indys in like 8000 miles and have the same size Pilot Sport AS3+ tires on there now. Hoping to get some more life out of those. Here is my post with pics.
Note that if you do spacers then you can no longer fit hubcentric rings. I was nervous about this and had custom spacers machined with an integrated ring. Here is my post with the drawing.
You wouldn't need any spacer in the back. just a hubcentric ring depending on the ID of the wheel hub.
For hubcentric spacers you may want to have a look @ KIA You explain what you require, if they don't have it, they probably can make it.
That's where I got mine...
Anyone run a staggered tires on a square set of wheels? I have some 19x8.5 et35 wheels sitting in my garage from my four-cars-ago car. As best I can tell both a 225 and a 255 tire should fit. Also - for the front the 8.5/et35 will put the wheel 7mm closer to the suspension than the stock 8/et34; I can't imagine that will be an issue either...?
Here's a PS of what the wheels might look like on the car....
@Shrikecorp So I just bought 20x9 front and 20x10.5 rear wheels. I'm going to buy the Michelin PS4S tires but what is the best size for me to get? I also have the Eibach lowering springs that lower the front about 1.4" and the rear 1.2"
I drive a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 AWD and my stock rims are 255/35/ZR19 on front and rear wheels.

What are your offsets? I'm assuming +35 +45 which are the typical offsets for those sizes.
I run 245/35r20 285/30r20, which are a little taller than stock, without an electronic damping controller you'll experience some minor liner rubbing in the rear. I have the Mando ECS installed which eliminates that rubbing and fixing some weird bouncing in the rear of the car.
You can also run 255/30r20 295/25r20 which are a tiny bit shorter than stock which I haven't run yet but is a popular front/rear matched combination, I can't comment on whether it has the same minor rubbing that I had with my taller tires.
The rubbing, in my opinion, is a result of the progressive rates of the eibach springs, the soft spot, again in my opinion, is too soft for our cars and you get a little more motion in that range, even if the spring is overall stiffer than stock. Turning up the damping via the Mando ECS prevents that entirely, and the rear damping is much softer than I would prefer in the rear, so I have it set about 15% stiffer than the front, which seems to compensate for that baseline issue.
Does anyone have any pics of a 18x9 +30 square setup? I know it will fit but would like to visualize the poke. I'm planning a 245 tire but any example doesn't need that.

I don’t have pics off hand, but there should be no poke with that fitment and it should look flush. My 9+35 are just a little inset in the front and would be more so in the rear.

I just bought a 2.0 premium Stinger and will be upgrading the wheels/tires when winter is over.
After reading this thread (and the other 50+ page thread) I've decided on a 20x9 +35 wheel, 255/35 tire squared setup. I seen yowstinger has that size wheel/offset and is cutting it real close on clearance in the front. But Since I don't have brembo's will I have the same clearance issue? will I be ok without spacers?
