What single thing would you change or add to the Stinger if you could have it as a proper factory option? Maybe a V8? Manual gearbox? Wagon body? Rocket launcher? Or just shave 500lb?
I'd love to have the adaptive air suspension like the 911 Dakar or RS Q8. Second would be a PHEV system.
just turn the car off with the start/stop button and walk away Car automatically shifts to park.
EPB automatically engages (if you had auto hold turned on that drive cycle)
Didn't realize that, now I don't feel like I'm missing out as much. When we were choosing between the Stinger GT and a Lexus 350 ES that was the only thing we liked better on the Lexus. AC seats in 100+ weather would be welcome edition.
I've had ventilated seat in previous cars and do like it a lot. That said. neither of our Stingers have it and I've driven without it over several brutally hot Summers. I'm frankly surprised how well I get on without it.
As for the one thing I would like... option for a top trim without moon roof. It bothers me that moonroof is automatically bundled into any model above the basement trim level. I have zero use for opening the roof. I don't even open my windows all that much. I would very much rather not carry the extra weight and bulk taking up headroom I need for wearing helmet at the track. I also would much rather not deal with potential rattle, leaks and shattered glass.
The ability to set a speed +/- with respect to the speed limit (i.e. set 4mph over--my wife's electric pony does this).
Persistent drive mode--if you set it in sport, it stays in sport until you change it.
More controls for custom drive mode (i.e. throttle map, AWD F/R drive balance, timeout for manual shifting to return to D mode--if at all, time that the transmission holds onto a gear when letting off, etc.)
Option to have the interior lighting match the drive mode.
Return the nixie-tube display.
quicker start up connection to bluetooth.
None of those are remotely close to deal killers, but would be nice to have.

Lexus 350 ES also doesn't have actively cooled seats - just ventilated like my Stinger seats. They are fantastic, but it's just the movement of air, like a fan.
The ventilated seats pull air from a duct on the floor where the ac comes out....very much like ac seats.
I would go for a decent wireless charging instead of the over heating shit one that comes stock, as well as true wireless android auto.
I have a AA wireless adapter that is awesome but it should be stock
That would explain it. We test drove the Lexus on a day it was over 105 and the air coming from the seats was noticeably cold. Between that and the salesman referred to it as having Air Conditioned seat I assumed they were.
I agree in principle that Kia should've worked a bit harder at incorporating the latest tech, but it would've been tough to include AA Wireless back in 2018, since Google introduced it April 2018. However, there was no excuse for not having it, when they refreshed the Stinger for 2022, especially since it included a revised infotainment system.
That said, now that I've had the Motorola MA-1 for over a year, I think there is actually a benefit for it being a add-on, instead of built-in OEM. If I have any problems with the MA-1, I always have the option of swapping it out. Or, if Google ever releases an update that takes advantage of new hardware specs, I could always just buy an updated one with additional features, or better performing.
Also, most traditional auto mfrs, like Hyundai/Genesis, are not doing FW/SW updates very frequently. So if there is an issue, it may take forever for them to fix it.
nothing bugs me as-is, and I don't want anything else it doesn't already have. I would like to ditch the paddles and auto transmission for 'five on the floor' or whatever number of gears works best.
