What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Congrats! W/trade-in that’s around $493 a month or roughly $17,700 in 3 years time to rent a car, and next time around you’ll have nothing for trade-in. If the residual is around $25,000, then even a 5-year loan on a used car is going to be about $425 a month. Nothing against it, I’m sure you’ve worked through all of this.

Glad you found a good deal for yourself - enjoy the Stinger, it’s an amazing machine!

I don't understand. My monthly is 368? Where'd the 493 come from lol.
In 3 years I will have paid 13,248

Your downpayment
Oh I think I understand. I figured it's
368 x 3= 13,248
+4000
+4500

So in 3 years I will have paid
21,748
And the balance expected to own the car would still be about 25,000

So I can only hope to come in at MSRP
But all in all I'm ok with it it matched Kia's projection and was the best deal I could get in 130 miles

View attachment 4106 my situation is pretty unique but for reference, im $237 a month for a GT RWD no options, $39,2k MSRP with $8000 down and a $1200 trade in. 15k miles, 36 month lease, tier 1-3 credit and 8.25% sales tax. employee deal.
NEVER -- EVER -- put money down on a lease. its a lopse-lose situation.

Purchased my GT2 RWD back on the 16th of February. Took advantage of the $6500 lease cash plus found a deal on Edmunds.com for $2603 off MSRP. All in all, sale price of $42,040. Dealer had already added tint, pin striping and Nitrogen in tires. Didn't purchase any add-ons in the financing office. Put $1600 down plus 1st months lease payment of $586. Pearl White with Black Nappa leather. I just purchased some after market accessories (All weather mats, all weather cargo mat, splash guards) for $275.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
GT2 $49,500 plus paid off my 2017 Honda accord lease. That is pre tax and license. Post price out the door was about $57k... they also put all season tires on it being I am located in MN It came with 19 " Michelin Pilot 4s which are great in summer but not so much in snow.

This deal sounds pretty good... please let me know your opinion. GT2 AWD MSRP MSRP 52,625, less discount of 1,556.00 51,068.83 less lease cash of 7000.00. 44,068.83 before tax title and tags. 2k down, 679 a month for 12,0000 miles, 709 a month for 15,000 miles. I'm sure I can get them a little lower, but overall I seem pleased with this deal. No trade in or complications. Thanks in advance for your opinion, may sign tonight.

I was able to get 680/mo without any money down. I drove away after paying my first month payment only. 12k/36 mo for same trim you have. This was back in Dec. 2017 so I think you can do better than me.

I managed to lease a GT 1 for 4,000 down + 4,500 in trade for 368/mo for 36 months o plan to buy it out at the end. Feels like a good deal it's close to the calculator on Kia's website. But it was hard fought

What dealership did you go to? That’s a great deal

Well, your trade-in takes money off the MSRP. So roughly half of that is going towards the residual. If you don’t buy it, then half of that $4500 just disappeared fro good.

The $4k down. Divide by 36 months and add to your monthly, THAT is your average over 36 months.

Hope that helped. Good luck! Or Comgrats - can’t recall if you went for it or not yet?! ; )

i have seen several base 2.0 stingers driving around, mostly red and white. the only other gt's i have seen have been 1 blue with the whitish/grey interior and a red one. mine is the only yellow that i have seen. i know that there have to be at least 2 more since the other two dealerships that i went to had them and they are now sold. i actually like the white interior, but, as to the question of looking bad, the act of getting in at out of the car will scuff up the leather. your belt, the button on the back of your dress pants, the heat will leach the oils out of the leather causing it to look weathered. and yes, i know, you can park inside, buff out the leather everyday, etc etc. i have seen 60 year old unrestored classic cars with leather interior that looked brand new and i have also seen a 5 month old mercedes with its leather looking like crap.

try pitting them against each other. its what i have done for years, but, you have to actually have a quote from the other dealers. i am sure everybody knows this, but sometimes, in our moments of want and longing, we forget that the dealerships never pay retail, and like f1stingergt said, dealers always make money on buyers. as for waiting 6 months, sure, wait for end of season sale, 4th of july sale, etc. there will be rebates and incentives, but, the yellow is limited to 400, those will always go at a premium.

right. yes, I lost the need to pay 5.4% interest AND 8% sales tax on approx $8500 which saved me almost 2 grand. putting $0 down "usually" makes sense on a lease when you have a super low money factor or you're able to write off your monthly payment - both don't apply to me. this money factor stinks. and in California, you only pay sales tax on the monthly, not the down. so yes, you're right, it was lose - lose. I better not quit my day job. whatever that is.
