What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

2019 Stinger GT2 with ceramic silver paint - I paid $43,650 which includes a dealer discount in addition to $4k in Kia rebates for Financing Program and Conquest Program. This does not include TT&L. Purchased in the Dallas area.

Please go easy on me, but tell me if I didn't get a good deal. I have a feeling I didn't sometimes.

I got the Snow White Pearl with Red Interior 2018 Stinger GT Limited AWD for $45,900 before fees, taxes, financing rates, etc.

Weird thing is I thought the 2019 only came with a wireless charger—my 2018 model does too. My vehicle also has 19" rims rather than 18" which I also thought it came with only on the 2019 model. Very confusing catalog.

It sounds like a great deal until I mention it was an in house Demo with about 5000 kilometers (3100 miles). They made it a big deal that it was driven by some super high up in the company. I told them it could be a fat guy for all care, however they assured me it was a person whom I forget the name of now.

I tried to push and negotiate hard against them. I visited 2 others dealers before revisiting this one again, and I had 3 (of the 5) other dealers emailing me back as well. I spent 5 hours there, but they hardly would budge on the vehicle's price. Although yes, they beat all the other offers I was getting by $100 literally, they were like a charity for discounts on everything else I needed.

They were also very willing on the trade in for my old vehicle (2015 Nissan Sentra SV w/ Luxury). They started at $7500 for the vehicle. We eventually agreed on $10,700 for it thanks to another dealer matching offer. I can go on and on, but at this point I'll let you guys let me know. I'll throw in a TL;DR in case.

TL;DR

Stinger GT Limited 2018 AWD: $45,900
Interest Rate: 2.9%
Trade in: $10,700 (2015 Nissan Sentra SV w/ Luxury, $3535 equity loss from $14235.00 owing)
Pirelli Winter Tires + TPMS: $1700 (down from $3100)
- law requires me to have winters, and why would this amazing vehicle not have TPMS for the winter's? They included that for free.
Tire, Rim, Fob Insurance: $800 (down from $1200)
- I hit a damn pothole with my previous vehicle and blew my tire. I don't want to be stuck with the bill for a new rim and tire ever again.
Paint, Rust, Interior Insurance: $1300 (down from $1800)
- This is usually a rip off, however I have paint insured for 10 years, interior for 7. If I have a kid in the back and rips my seat, I'm covered.
Extended vehicle warranty: $2600 (down from $2800) however with a $2000 return if no claims.
- I did this because although yes the 10 year warranty is great, I want to be stuck with no fees besides a $100 deductible. Plus return if no claim.
Extras: Free swap to winters, then back to summers. Oil change done immediately, new battery provided.

Let me have it guys, give me the drama. Did I f*ck up? Pass Martha the popcorn though. Thanks.

I've posted elsewhere here that Kia is giving the best Stinger deals in Canada. (Why? Who knows.) Personally, I wouldn't have done the extras (other than snow tires), but it's your money/preference. Based on USD/CD ex rate, I'd say you did fine.

I appreciate the feedback.

After I posted what you quoted orginally, I came across a thread with the same topic but for Canadians only. Only one or two posts there paid about $500 less than me. I didn't have to wait, the car was mine in two days.

Extras around $3,000 (bi-modal, tint, Blackvue front/rear dashcam with Power Magic Pro, ceramic coating, leather/trim protection, GT mats and rubber boot liner). Happy with the deal. Today I purchased a red 2018 Stinger GT2 AWD with the 19s. It had 800 miles on the odometer because the managers had been using it on and off as a company car. Halfway through the buying process my salesperson was alerted to the fact that the Stinger I was buying had been upgraded to the borla exhaust so I ended up with that thrown in free .

All together it was 39k OTD prior to my trade in tax benefit, 38k with. That included 3k for conquest, 2.5k KMF, and 400 military discount.

Word to the wise on anyone looking at buying a 'new' 2018 at this point, the first one I looked at on the lot had some pretty serious curb cancer on the bumper and the paint was rough in some spots. Get ready to do an in depth inspection.

Sorry for the double post (I had posted in the 'How to buy' section under 2018 GT2), but this looks like the appropriate thread to post in.....

Just leased a 2018 GT2 AWD on Tuesday

MSRP = 52,425
Dealer Price = 42,651 ($9,774 discount)
Lease Cash = $9,500

Price before trade = $34,150 (Dealer Price - Lease Cash + Fees)
Trade value = $13,500 (car max offered $11,500, so $2K higher)
*******Price with $2K higer trade ($32,150)*** this is what I feel I paid for the car
Trade applied to lease = $5,800
Trade payed back as check = $7,700
Adjusted cap cost = $28,350

A few weeks ago I bought my 2018 GT2, 13k miles. I paid 37,000 for it. There are a few minor scratches, and the paint on the front bumper is starting to show a little bit of the oxidation I've read about. Don't have even the slightest morsle of regret though, love love love the car, the looks, the complements, the power, the tech!

Already removed the rear KIA emblem & replaced with carbon fiber 'Stinger' emblem.

My old genesis (2010, 375 hp) next to the new(ish) stinger.

Hi,

I was offered a 2019 Kia Stinger GT in black in Northern Illinois. I also reached out to several dealers to ask if they could beat the price and this is my current price before TTL and doc fee with 3.9% financing 60 month. Any thoughts on how much room I have to negotiate?

Thanks,
What's break down of the $4750 incentives? I think there's 0% for 66 month in lieu of $2k loyal/conquest, if you're financing, 0% is a better deal. That dealer discount is also less than 5% of the sticker.

Yes, only one dealership advertises the 0% and I'd prefer that as it seems to save me $4k over 60 months using 3.99%. The $4,750 is $2,750 in financing cash and $2,000 in conquest but they just told me the other dealership lied when they said I qualified for conquest with a 2007 camry and they can't give me that so now I'm rethinking this whole thing. 5% dealer discount is really low compared to what other people are getting? I have a hard time comparing because a lot of numbers are from the lease cash deals that no longer exist.

Edit: Okay I got $39.5K OTD with TTL and 0% financing 0% down 66 months. Should I take it?

-Use truecar or carsdirect with your zipcode to see what others are paying.
-Seems like Kia just released a bonus offer, and the terms says its combinable with promotional apr

Bonus Cash :
Select VIN Summer Sticker Event Retail Bonus Cash
Expires 7/1/19

Good luck. You're already making lots of existing owners jealous with your pricing already.

Thank you for your insight. Now I know why they let me walk and then called me back in. It didn't look like I could take 0% and the 2,750 financing incentive but instead they did the $2,000 incentive above + $2,000 conquest (I didn't qualify but they would try anyway) + 0% APR, 0 down, 66 month or $598 a month. Options included red paint, remote start, cargo net, and mud guards. I ended up taking it.

Might have been able to get more if I shopped around more but I had started with truecar and people kept saying truecar discount included incentives. Had a hard time getting others to match or beat the previous offer.

Out the door is not helpful because fees and taxes vary by state/country. Also at least in MA you taxes are lowered by the trade in. For instance my car was 49.5K, I got 9K off between dealer/kia rand 9K for my trade in so I paid tax on 31.5K. I forget the exact number but me telling you 33,000 and something out the door means nothing. Meaningful is I got 4K in Kia discounts and 5K dealer discount

I think i itemized it up above so you can see final purchase price before fees: 36,479 before TTL and doc fee.

Congrats! 7.5% off sticker + 4K incentive + 0% 66 month. Nicely done. Break her into properly, and post some pics.
