Ouch, sorry to see that & I’m feeling your pain, a bumper guy should be able to fill that gouge & touch up or a full bumper respray at a smash repairer.
On the bright side if there is one, your paint looks resonably thick.

Someone backed into my Stinger at work, they were so nice not to leave a note or anything. Rear bumper and tailgate have to get replaced. A nice $2680(CAD) to replace both then a nice $2282(CAD) for shop materials and labour cost. Got my insurance to cover the cost, waiting for a call back but, it could be 4weeks wait for parts.

Sorry to hear that, just went through that same scenerio wth my wife’s car....people that hit & drive off are low life grubs in my book.

I gottta tell ya when I hit 60 it seemed faster than 5.7 seconds...........

I'm not a launch control "convert" yet. My limited experiments thus far tell me that a smooth rush on the pedal using "auto hold" works best.

my ''auto hold'' is my left foot ....they skimped a few things with this model.

My left foot is planted firmly on the footrest. Like a security blanket. While the car is held stationary, waiting, I position my gas foot until I feel ready, then mash. But I'm sure I'd adapt if I didn't have an auto hold.

What, exactly is the big difference between what you are doing and a launch control anyway? You hold down the brake and push the accelerator and then let go of the brake, so how does that functionally differ in the outcome from having a launch control?

to be honest there isn't a big difference, but the car is doing things to he car that are easier on the car than me power braking. A true line lock scenario would allow you to light up the rears (to get grip on a drag run)....that's the whole point btw.but with awd and not just rwd set up I am stressing too many areas of the drivetrain.
