I see. Conflicted, your are. Ha hah. But you made this discovery. How long do you suppose that bolt has been missing from your differential? Was it caused by any of your disassembly/reassembly sessions? In other words, your fault from possibly over torqueing? Or did it simply end up missing prior to your ownership and you only now noticed?Took the cover off 2 weeks ago for a drag challenge bro.
It does appear that that bolt has a very low torque spec for its size.I see. Conflicted, your are. Ha hah. But you made this discovery. Believe it or not my friend who has snapped 2 differentials now in the same spot, has a completely stock drive train and no tune !Wow! Are you saying that your playing around with six times the stock boost did this? And it's one thing to have a bolt head sheer off, but to have an entire mount snap like that boggles my mind.
I am almost more impressed that you were able to get enough traction to cause this sort of damage!I'm just disappointed this is an issue with these cars.
15yr's I battled with this in my Ford I don't hear of Audi or Bmw or Amg having these issues and they make a shit ton more powaaahhhh, yet everyone wants to come in their jocks if they beat one in a race .

I can't believe the torque spec for those fasteners is 36 - 47 foot pounds... Seems crazy low$42 each from KIA and not until the 7th Jan 2026
Ok... $8 for both, plus Hi Tensile washers from the local bolt shop thank you very much... problem solvered !
For now...
