What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Today, I ran my key fob through the laundry. First and hopefully only time in nearly six years of owning the Stinger - and fob. Still trying to understand how it was even possible to leave my Faraday bag in my jeans on wash day since I always go through my pockets thoroughly. had a brain fart that's the only explanation. took the fob apart, blew it out with canned air, and dried it for half a dozen hours under a mini florescent lamp. wasn't too worried, since stories of dropped cell phones into toilets are common, and they work again after they dry out.

Yesterday was an oil change and install of the Whiteline front swaybar. Rear at a later date.

Today, got it all washed up:

Ever since I buggered up the scratch "touchup" on the driver side of our premium - that was about a year ago - I determined to put a decal / badge over it. found these rather nice looking hot wheels badges last fall. before also deciding to use adhesion promoter / primer on the 3m tape, I impatiently attached the badges to the tape, then got the primer. was waiting for a nice day and picked today to put them on. they look blingy but not too much. they rather match the brighter chrome used on the 2.0l trims and wouldn't look as natural on the dark chrome 3.3l. the fat end of the flames design covers my booboo nicely. hah. the passenger side is just to make it match so that anyone won't wonder, 'why did he only put a badge on the driver side". now, how well will they stay on? the back side of the badge is hollow, so only the outside border and several ridges inside for strength - and cheapness - are holding the badge on. I would prefer a solid badge of course and this concerns me some. if the badges start to detach from the tape all I can do is either belatedly try the primer then or use super glue. Ima borrowing trouble I'll just have to wait and see.

Ordered these snorkels last month, and they finally arrived this morning. Yay. I'm excited.
Now I just need the weather to cooperate.
Interesting side note. They look like they were made by a 3D printer.

They were. I have a set that is all black.

I live in a rainy climate and am happy to announce that in almost a year of having them I have not seen any indication of water getting behind my filters in the stock air box. While I wouldn't try driving through hurricane conditions, I think for most normal rain you should be fine.

Finally got to install the new Eibach swaybars--front and rear. Wife helped pay for some of it at a birthday present, and helped a bit on the install :).

Front, like everyone says, was easy. The rear...to say it's difficult was an understatement. But, I got them done, cleaned everything up, and test drove her.

Yes. they are worth it. She feels much more planted even on the soft setting.

Definitely worth the effort.

2020 GT2 AWD Just had the 45000 mile complete service done including new spark plugs.
Shop did everything the manual called for except new tires and brakes, (did those at 38000 miles)
I was wondering if the dealer overcharged me or is that pretty much the going rate at the Kia dealer.
$1400.00 U.S..
Please advise.
Thank you.

In addition...one of these ratchet extenders will save some foul language...

...maybe not for the rear driver's side front bolt, but it helps.

got and installed the asian market tail lights for the signal, it makes the rear of the car look much cleaner, albeit the car itself isn't clean so ignore that
Was it worth it? EHHH i do like the cleaner look but wish it wasn't what they were for price... maybe its cause the canadian dollar is so weak . I think if someone could make a vinyl cutout of where the signal cutouts are at can replicate 95% of this look without the price tag of new tail lights at least from afar

What am I missing? Those look like original taillights, not refresh. What is an Asian taillight that's different?

Please reply to my April 6 post about paying over $1400.00 for a complete tune up at a Kia dealer .Work included Oil change and all car filters, wiper blades, etc. Labor $720 parts $480 plus tax and some other small items. truth is the car runs beautifully now but $1400 seems excessive. I would like to know your thoughts. Thank you.

In the NA market, kia decided to use a full clear plastic for the turn signals, I should edit my post and mention specifically the turn signals (whoops my bad). But if you look, you can see how the ones I have, have a black backplate to the turn signals lights, so it matches the pattern of the signals from the front and also matches that backplate from the reverse lights as well.

It's a very subtle change, but it's like one of those, finer details for a whole lot of money

I wondered if the difference has something to do with how the nine LED turn signal lights are easier to see. on my cars the plastic cover seems to obscure the nine lights more is all. you really have to get close and look hard to see the nine lights in there. your picture shows them easily.
