What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Made the decision that if the G70 Shooting Brake comes to the USA with the 3.3T or the 3.5T as an option, I will be trading in my stinger that day. Its probably the only car under 100K that could get me out of my stinger right now.
Im surprised it isnt here or U.S. Would sell like hot cakes. Really gives off an audi hatchback avante/benz e class wagon vibes from the rear and body lines.

Though not the biggest fan of the headlights. Wish they were more longer like the g90

Brought my car to the dealer for the first oil change a little over 3000 miles. Amazingly (and thankfully) enough they didn't screw up the rocker panels. They went over it with a fine tooth comb from what I could see. They made no complaints about the aftermarket sways. Sadly the service manager wasn't there. Wanted to have a chat with him about future mods but that'll have to be later. I did find it interesting though that the rep I originally spoke with when he came back to tell me it was done, he also mentioned, "They didn't observe any issues and the brakes appear to be good as well". I just mentioned well there is only 3000 miles on it. To which he said "Yeah but you'd be surprised. If I had to be chewed out by another customer about warped rotors on a new car....". Told him about some of the stuff I learned on here.

The existing braces don't carry any torsional load but the cross bar that's bolted to the forward facing braces probably will take 'some' torsional load and being billet alloy it will likely show up in the threads failing. A lot will depend on how the car's used but again, we'll wait and see.

This is the one I want but it's pretty $$$

Its a nut and bolt, no threads to pull out.

So if what you say is true why would you want to add any “torsional load” to the front radiator support, that’s just asking for problems.
Looking at the example you have posted it would IMO only be cosmetic, but could potentially twist the radiator support.

It should help but nowhere near as much as a direct strut tower cross brace but I haven't found one yet.

We will agree to disagre, it won’t help & may have the opposite effect.
A direct brace from strut tower to strut tower could be a problem as the engine cover is very close to the underside of the bonnet.

This morning I sent off the reimbursement claim.

Update good news: last Thursday I deposited the cheque for the full amount of the Michelin PS4S replacement tire. The company responsible for the work on the road was "Underground Solutions" and they were 100% sympathetic and helpful.

Have you driven it much ? Feel any difference ?
Not much driving yet, I did however notice that I feel the initial turn in at the wheel more. Like more feedback felt in the hand.

OK so I got my Amazon order in today for a Kia Stinger Alcantara armrest cover. I know what you're gonna say "why didn't you just buy the OEM replacement armrest in Alcantara" well its over $200 at most places and thought I would give this a shot since it was only $40. I have to admit its pretty damn good quality and fits extremely tight and well. It uses velcro straps to keep it secure. The red stitching actually matches rather well with the red leather interior as well. Over all I would say this was a great buy. My only complaint would be it did not add much extra padding because we all know the armrest is hard as a rock lol.

You could cut and fit a bit of thin foam and put it between for extra padding

Today, I...
✅Swapped the stock (?) NGK iridium plugs (which seemed to be gapped at least .028 or .030) out for HKS plugs (gapped to .022) in prep for JB4 install. This was a fair bit of nostalgia, as I believe the last time I swapped the plugs on a car it was to actually put NGK IRs (one range colder than stock, naturally) into my 1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD.
✅Installed a second-hand JB4 (including Fuel Wires and the OBD-II Port wire; I have a brand new set the EWG wires, but I wanted to verify 'proof of life' on my used JB4 before cracking it open). Snaking the OBD-II Port wire through the firewall is no fun. I tried the screwdriver method but only managed to slightly mangle the tip of the molex connector on the metal of the firewall as I attempted to ram it through. In the end, I finally wound up using some very long Impex needle-nose pliers, gripping the plug gently in the pliers and using the steel tips of the Impex to 'breach the wall'. This had a side-benefit of creating a channel through which the wire could be drawn without much fuss. Win-win.
✅Realized my used JB4 was still "linked" to the previous owner's JB4 Wireless app. Per the error message that appeared, I contacted the previous owner, @sdstinger (an awesome fellow, btw, but he sold his Stinger so we likely won't see much of him anymore) and the fine folks at jb4connectkit.com and got them to clear the link so I could successfully connect my app to the used JB4. (I owe a BIG shout-out to Lucas Brashears at DMAC Mobile Developments for helping us get this sorted out in under 30 minutes. On a Sunday no less!).
✅I ran some test runs with my son around town and on the freeway (warm up in Map 0 at first, then Map 1 on the way back home) and logged the results. We had a blast.

TODO:
☑️Learn how to read the logs and charts.
☑️Review the logs and charts.
Thanks man! I actually still have BMS Cold Air Intakes laying around if anyone wants to make an offer lol

Does it follow lines ok, as it looks abit baggy in area's.
