Went to Home Depot and bought some washers. Brought in one of the screws just to make sure I got the right size. It was around 16 cents a washer.

Finally got around to replacing the half arsed oval exhaust tips with some round ones.
Funny thing is, as much as I like the round ones, I think I'm so used to seeing the oval ones I'm having mixed thoughts.
Anyone care to chime in ? Maybe there's something I'm missing that you can see... ?

And yes, the car is filthy. No need to comment on that...

Oh and I finally installed some decent brake rotors and some more suitable pads too.

I've had her for about a week and already have a crack that went all the way thru (couldn't get it to focus right). I have an appointment to have a high quality tint done to all the windows except the front windshield so I'm gonna talk to the guy about how much protection having the front done would provide against crap like this in the future. Last year I had the same thing happen to my last car and the crack wasn't initially as bad yet it started to split all the way across the windshield so I'm guessing the same thing is gonna happen here requiring an entire replacement...
Does anyone have experience with good front window tints and object hitting them? I was gonna avoid that rout cas I don't wanna push cops too much but if a very light tint to the front will protect it decently, I may as well get that done too after the replacement...

Yeah, that sucks. I got a stone chip in my windshield within a couple weeks of getting the car. Fortunately it was just a chip and could do the repair on it. If it had spread, and a new windshield required, I understand it is a big deal since mine is a GT2 with all the cameras behind the windshield.
I seem to be a rock magnet, every car I have owned practically has gotten a chip within a few weeks of getting it.
Usually, tint is placed on the inside of the window, so I doubt that would help stop anything from chipping it in the future. Windshields are already laminated glass with a film sandwiched between two layers of glass, they have to be according to DOT rules, and it obviously didn't help here.
Perhaps if you put a strong film on the outside, but I doubt it would hold up in the environment.

Windscreen Protection Film would be the way to go. Over here it's typically used on buses and transport trucks but is also finding a domestic market.

sweet on the DBA's I have them coming as well. In fact I got the rears already, but the fronts are on backorder. Will be using Hawk HPS 5.0s for the street with them.

I've heard good things about Hawk pads but the ceramic ones I tried on my last car were useless when cold so I've never tried them again.

The pads I'm replacing are DBA Extreme street ( or something like that ) and although they were one of the best stopping pads I've used, they were also produced more black dust that just about any other pad I've used. So, thought I'd try the powerstops.

Got the car re-tinted. The shop that installed the original tint had put their logo in between the glass and the tint so it was beginning to peel. Ended up installing Xpel Prime XR Plus. 5% on sides and rear glass and 35% on the front windshield. Hopefully this helps cut down on some of this Oklahoma heat.

And installed mbrp catback, sounds so much better than stock as I’m sure most of you know. New tips are being shipped, and hopefully tomorrow the ark secondaries and c-fx decklid will be delivered. Now if the h&r springs can hurry up. Also installed a fuel-it sensor, since we don’t have 93 octane here and running 91 on JB4 map 2 was pulling too much timing for my comfort. Now I get exactly an e30 mix and communicating with the JB4 is great. Now I can run map 3 with no issues whatsoever.

Finally got the rear sway bar installed. Here's the tool we used to deal with the drivers side nut that's a pain. Basically from under the car while having the rear up in the air, we attacked it from above. Hardest part was getting the tite-reach in place and hooking up the sockets/extensions. Once that was done though, and we realized in this setup tight/loose is reversed, it came off and went on pretty quick.

It's worse than that: it looks like you split the sidewall. That amount of rim rash can be sanded out, finishing up with 2000 grit or finer wet/dry sandpaper (lots of water): that'll hold you over till you can get the wheels powder coated.

Thanks for the info on sanding the wheels, I went to two tire places to verify the tire was ok and said good to go, just looks like crap.

IMO, that's a sign from the gods telling you it's time to ditch those insanely heavy OEM wheels and become "enlightened" with some forged alloy wheels befitting of a 'sports' car.

Were you making the power / torque you're supposed to? and were your air fuel readings good though ?
