What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

D5F2BEDB-FAA4-4C48-AB38-D8D4ACE19881.webpThats looks so nice, do you have the link to those? Also how are you liking them? any complaints?
They are the CK71 DRL in the K8Stinger store. A little pricey, but better than the cheaper versions being sold on eBay IMO.

Chris (who builds them) is also a Stinger aficionado, so he actually cares about what he builds. No complaints at all, went on very easy as he uses the OEM replacement part. Light almost matches the OEM color too. Very happy.

just fyi, if you ever go thru an automatic car wash, when youre done go park lift up the hood and clean all the soap off. hood must not be sealed very well or something. imagine all that extra soap getting all over engine bay components.
Never will! Blasphemy!

^^Can you show a shot from the side of the car (facing forward) with just these lights on and the marker lights. How much additional illumination is there? For show or functional?

They are DRLs they arent made for you to see better they are made to be seen.

The illumination spreads, not focused. So more for in front of the car than any distance.

Beat the snot out of it the past two days at Virginia International Raceway. That track is really cool. Car did great. Sway bars and Ark springs really kept everything in check. Went through about 1.5 gallons of Water/Meth in one 30 minute session. opened up big gaps on other cars in the straights. I was running 275 x 35 PS4S on the rear and the oem 225 x 40 PS4 on the front. I finally got to experience understeer, LOL. I got lots of questions about the car from other attendees of course. Lots of folks were impressed with the speed. Running in the novice group and only a couple different cars passed me like BMW M4, M3, etc. also a couple 911's in the group. Got to pass lots of cars that would easily keep pace, but the drivers were not experienced enough I suppose. Always fun when C8 and C7 Corvette's are giving you the point by. The brakes were the only thing that made me nervous, but some of that is my inexperience. All stock except for Hawk Street pads up front. I think 145 mph in the South Straight is doable with my set-up, but I puckered and lifted at around 136/137 mph every time. I need practice!!

Yeah they understeer big time if you don't wash the speed off first.

I think a bit of toe-in might help but I'm yet to try it myself.

(SOME NEGATIVE CAMBER WOULD BE NICE, KIA)....

With the drop I have about -1.1 degrees or so, but a bit more would be nice.

Did your brakes fade?
Not that I could tell, but I was overly cautious coming off both high speed straights. I also stopped 10-15 mph short of top speeds I could have easily hit. Basically coasting for a bit then easing into the brakes, then going harder once speeds came down. It just always worried me. I really wanted to be safe first, especially with traffic around, and get the car home in one piece. I was also concerned about the fluid. need to upgrade that as well. the nice thing is temps were in the 40's and 50's so that kept things cooler.
