What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Only picture i have. But it does give some representation of the difference between the wrap and real. My filter cover is CF.

This is the wrap i bought for the braces. Cheap experiment

That actually looks pretty close.

This is the Vivid stuff from Amazon. I will get a better picture tomorrow but I had a few good rock chips. I used to have my hood in gloss black vinyl and liked it but it came up around the vents and stained from bird poop. I had my hood done in Suntek ppf to match the rest of the front clip and used the “carbon fiber” to hide the chips under ppf.

i have nothing against wraps, not even remotely. In fact every one ive seen in person has been great looking. And i have really contemplated it for random parts.
For me though, my opinion, i cant see putting a CF wrap next to real CF on MY car. The pic shows why. Thats why i never wrapped my vents, and i went with real overlayed on them. There's too much of a color difference. Now if someone can direct me to one that is closer im open to it

yeah that's sort of my thing too. I have a Seibon hood and while I'd like the roof to match it I don't want to do it if it looks too dissimilar to the hood.

Upgraded the brakes (front and rear) to Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors and Z26 Extreme Performance streeet pads.

Also had the car rust proofed (Krown). We took all the under carriage covers off to make sure everything got properly sprayed.

It was fun bedding in the brakes, seeing smoke waft past the car at one point in the process.

got it back from the service... motor already gone bad in back left window, they ordering a part.. tried to get some of the dealership funk off my whip. also there's some sort of software update for the variable exhaust they did.
@n8hegr8 Did they say the motors going out is common problem?

I'm sure that's what's wrong with mine rear, driver's side window as well.

Any word on how long it will take them to get the part?

What bed-in procedure did you use ?

Go fast and stop i guessing....
Go fast and almost stop: you don't want to hold the hot rotors with the pads: so, something like, up to 80 MPH and hit the brakes hard, down to c. 25 MPH, then let off and back up to speed and wait a minute or two, repeat c. half a dozen times (or more, if you feel inclined).

I used the procedure on the box the pads came in. Five hard stops from 40 mph to 10 mph, a brief cool down for a couple of minutes, then another 5 hard stops from 30 mph to 5 mph then a cool down….all without stopping.

Thanks, will you please update your post after you get the hitch installed? I am not finding a lot of information out there for installing a hitch on the 2022 and I am tired of driving my suv, I'd much rather throw my e mtn bike on my Stinger so I can have fun not only on the trails but while getting to the trailhead too.
Well it finally got sent out and is at the local distribution center, should be delivered on Monday. That's a few weeks ahead of the (modified) schedule at least. Hopefully I'll get it installed next week, but the weather has changed and it won't be as comfortable anymore working on the car.

Worked well ! Great pad on disc application especially on the front.

There are ways that do work better than others and if done right, you get a much shorter stopping distance as a result.

You can see on GT Elite's pics that the pad material has bonded well with the discs.

You my friend need Carbon Fibre brakes to complete your fettish ;)
