What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Yeah, that's what's got me a bit bugged right now. I have those two "covers", but, covers to what? Nobody who's done the front sway has ever said a thing about parts like these needing to be removed because "they are in the way". What's up with that?

I have no idea what those parts are. Westcoast and I did mine and it was really straight forward. I would be bugged and baffled as well.

There is nothing like this on my car. Wonder if it is specific to certain model years?

But I know what these are for now: covers to deflect any objects coming through the undercarriage panel slots from impacting the steering arm boots behind them. If these are not in place, the boots are going to get hit.

Are you sure? Here are the latest pics, for reference (I had no idea what to look for or where until the pics posted by @General_Vodka and @Snowwhite; these are my pics; I just returned from having these put back in. ):

Just took a look. They are there but were not in the way when I replaced the front bar. Never noticed them.

Yeah, the invisible part. If it bears no relevance, it might as well not exist. But now I feel so smart: I know something that probably 99.99% of Stingers owners do not: that our steering boots have dedicated protection from flying debris.

The installer pointed out that the Eibach touches/rubs the "cover", and I said, "No problem. I'll take the rub on a flexible plastic part over not having the designed part where it's supposed to go. Thank you."

Correct.
No need to remove those to replace bar and absolutely no issues after installing Eibach.
