What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

I had the tint on the front doors removed today (So i can drive legally again).
It cost me $100 to have it removed.

Just finished setting her up for winter duty. It wont be my go to winter car as we have an SUV for that but it will still be on the road at least once a week.

Wash, claybar, Chemical Guys Pete's 53 black pearl wax, winter wheel package.

Mothers Speedclay 2.0 is amazing if anyone hasn't tried it yet.

Regapped my OEM plugs to .025 today. Shop quoted 350 pfffft...did it myself in 1.5 hrs. Did not remove the manifold. Much easier when you know how the coils come apart. Easier than I expected (with the proper tools) and she's runnin great! I'm gonna drive her normally for a week or two to make sure nothing pops up then drop in the "still in the box" JB4 with Ecko's custom fuel wire harness:) Let's see how long this ladys legs really are! Really proud of myself for the restraint I'm exhibiting right now LOL! Can't wait though!

20191102_152408.webp One last hand wash (perhaps) before winter sets in with Griot's Garage Brilliant Finish Car Wash and first application of Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax . Not the best pic half in shade, half in sunshine. Winter shoes get mounted Thursday now that overnight temps dipping into the 30's.

The HCW is legit. Love the ease of application and it just stays clean longer (Even after driving in torrential downpours and sitting outside to dry). Not as good as true ceramic coating I’m sure, but very inexpensive and very glossy.

we share the same badging.......and as for the tint....I saw how it was done....screw that! first thing the installer does is cut away the inner rubber from the window!! I know it's because the tint might / will move if not done , but it aint worth it to me.

I got to meet the previous owner of my Stinger. He got it like a demo, had it for about a year and sold it when he moved and couldnt have it as a commuter(?) and got like a station vagon also.

I had the dealer install a new battery in the car when I woke up yesterday and the car was completely dead. Only owned it 3 weeks and less than 600 miles on it. Been having starter issues the past week. Thought it might be the cold. Nope, crapped out battery.

That’s not uncommon on cars sitting on a lot.

It won’t be a reoccurring issue.

chit happens.

What upsets me more is the Sales Manager for the store told me they normally go through a pre-delivery checklist with cars off their lot. Since this was a car from another dealer, they didn't do it. Hence why my car had some scuffs and the battery issue.

Got its first oil change and door seals lubricated to stop that annoying squeak going over every bump.

I installed some eBay Carbon Fiber mirror caps from China. The CF looks good. Fitment is workable. $135 shipped so can’t complain to much. Last picture shows the gap in the fitment.

ok I'm lost, did you use the bead maker for the squeaks or something else??

It's great stuff easy to use on everything

Top coat for ceramic coat....check
Apply to glass shower door to keep water stains from forming....check
Spray bottle to spray annoying cat...check
Quick deodorant fresh smell under arm spray....check
You can also season bbq with it although that's I'll advise .

Chemical Guys products are stellar. I use their detailer product and it makes my black car look like glass.
