Ha, at least you've heard of it - snow that is. It's something you are getting used to deal with. But after 50 years in Canada, one gets tired of shoveling snow...Forecast for Calgary (out west) is 1m of snow in the next couple of days - or at least the possibility of it. So for the really cold month, you like to escape south or somewhere warmer. But the winter is glorious. You find the bluest skies and the whitest snow. Really great.
In respect to cars, yes, if you don't do anything about it. But yearly rustproofing makes a huge difference. It really keeps the salt and moisture at bay. My 1998 F-150 is in great shape. Every panel still 100% solid, no peeling paint, and of course no rust. My mechanic would like to buy it. It's got just 300,000km on it. I am a firm believer in rustproofing when you have to deal with 4 seasons or 10 in Minnesota.
