What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

My SBM carbon hood is on now. Car is a little dirty but I wanted to post a pic as it's supposed to rain through the weekend.

"A little dirty"? We'll need shades to look at it clean, then! :D (Oh, I guess I do see a bit of speckling on your wind shield. :P)

Are you considering blacking out the roof and boot (trunk) lid as well? There's nothing wrong with it now, but doing that would give you a nice consistent set of colour lines that I think would be really nice!

Another question - how functional are the vents in that bonnet (hood)?

I don't think I will do the decklid

I don't think I will do a CF decklid, but I might do something with the roof. I like the contrast of my CF spoiler and the yellow paint.

The hood vents are functional with the removal of the rain guards underneath. Which is held on by hex bolts.

It looks great, and if there's one thing I really can't stand about the OEM design it's those FAKE plastic things on the hood. Wonder if you could cobble together a quick release to replace the hex bolts? Seems like. Hmm.

I like the design of the hood vents, I just wish they were actually functional. They're in the right spot (roughly) to release heat from the turbo, but even if you could make the vents themselves functional, the holes in the underskin of the bonnet/hood are so tiny that they'd still struggle to do anything useful other than keep water out.

That's almost two weeks unwashed, which is dirty for me!
I don't remember when the last time my car went two weeks without a bath. :D

The dislike for the fake hood "vents" rears its head again. :p

I heard (when I bought my car a year ago) from my salesman that a local Stinger owner had made the hood "vents" into the real thing. But I never learned anything more about it. To me the risk of water getting where it doesn't belong outweighs any perceived advantage of admitting more air to cool the turbos or whatever.

Don't start me on the fake hood vents it's my only real bug bear. As Manaz said functional ones would vent the turbo heat which down here on our 40c would be great. The heat coming out even on a reasonably warm day is bloody scorching. Sorry hate, hate.

What my Stinger did for me!:)
Congratulations, though from the poster it looked like the show focus was more rod and custom.

Was your Stinger modified in some way? What class did you win an award in?

There were all sorts of cars ... over 100. The plaques were awarded to all who donated $25 to charity. Golds, silvers, and bronzes.
