What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

The dislike for the fake hood "vents" rears its head again. :p

I heard (when I bought my car a year ago) from my salesman that a local Stinger owner had made the hood "vents" into the real thing. But I never learned anything more about it. To me the risk of water getting where it doesn't belong outweighs any perceived advantage of admitting more air to cool the turbos or whatever.

Doing so would be hard, as I noted, the hole in the secondary skin is very small, and making the vents (not scoops - vents let air out, not in) functional would require cutting metal - not something I'll be keen to do on a brand new Stinger (I do want to add a rally-style Spec.C roof vent to the 02 STI I have access to - but that's 17 years old, and 14 years outside its warranty :))

damage5.webp So today I finally fixed the scraped front lower right fascia I damaged when I avoided a dog and ran into a rock . I was quoted over $1000 to fix it ( they were going to remove the bumper etc etc etc ) I thought I could do it myself for the cost of paint , filler , sand paper , totalling about $65 ( $50 was paint alone ) . I masked off the damage and sanded the area with 200 grit to knock down the rough plastic then 320 , 400 , filled the area with Bondo filler , rough sanded with 320 , then wet sanded with 400 , 600, 1000, and finally 2000 . I laid down 2 coats of primer , 3 coats of color and 3 coats of clear coat . . I will let it set up for a day or 2 then , clay bar , wet sand and polish the area . There is one small drip in the Clear which I'll deal with in the fine finshing , but generally , I'm very happy with the results :

Nice job, love your handy work, looking at your pics for where that scrape was located you would never know that area had any damage.

Nice you deserve a bottle of Tequila!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Front and rear Eibach sway bars with Whiteline endlinks. My butt felt a difference pulling out of the parking lot where I had it serviced. I get the perception that the little bumps and things that made a bit of jostle is gone. A flat, straight ride instead. And the flat ride I LOVE on the interstate ramps. I need more miles with this mod, but it's looking to be my favorite for my driving style - on CRAP roads.

Thanks , its a pretty simple job in a low visabilty section of the car so I'm happy that it turned out so well and saved $1000 ! I also painted my rear diffuser so the paint has served double duty !

That’s exactly the feel I get now, did you do softest settings on the sways.
Trust me the more miles you do, the more your going to love this upgrade, it just lifts this car to another level IMHO.

Both soft. Endlinks haven't technically been dialed in yet. One tire has some extra inner shoulder wear so going to get her aligned before I do much else.

And yes, I was smiling ear-to-ear on my test drive once I got the OEMs/spare parts out of the hatch.

"BLING!" Going that extreme actually looks really good. (But keeping all that tight, bright stuff clean will occupy some serious time; better you than me; I'm not THAT enthusiastic!)

And here I was wondering how a dish style/type wheel will look on the Stinger. As it seems concave is what is mostly available in te market now a days.
Thank for posting this it looks pretty good.
