That’s a great idea. I go to these on the Regs. I need to put something together.
Love it! Good on you girl!!
Hey Rich, I haven't kept up with all the changes with the newer models but I'll share my thoughts concerning the 2018 models. Although I would love to have the 6 clynder in my car, but I don't want to give up a couple of things they take away with the upgraded ones. #1, The sound system. I know a lot of people don't put this as a priority but they downgraded the sound system in the other models. I think it's ridiculous to downgrade or remove any options on a more expensive version but I guess it's to keep the price down with all the extras on the so called upgrades. I in fact purchased my first new sports car without a radio and was happy listening to my engine. I eventually put in a nice custom system with other modifications. Once you listen to a great system in one car, a downgrade would be extremely hard to accept for me. In addition to that, they reduced the size of the display screen. #2, I especially don't want to pay for extras I could do without like lane departure warnings and other things less attentive drivers could make use of. #3, the sleeker, more luxurious look of the premium doubles as a pure luxury vehicle with sporty accents as opposed to the pure sports car look. Don't get me wrong, I love the more sporty looks of the GT's and could definitely use the Brembo brakes but as an older gentleman(age 61) with only one car, besides a truck, I require the dual purpose of a sports car & luxury vehicle. Besides that, cops are more likely to respect you and don't automatically assume you are speed freak that needs to be disciplined, even though I am. That's the same reason I wont tint my windows. As a black man, I have enough problems with the police.Thank you for your service, sir! Yes, I hear ya about money. It's tight here as well. I want/need the GT2 but I'm not 100% sure that's going to work. I'm a few months over a year on a brand new Accord so I'm not sure how that's going to work out. Worst case scenario I could always wait a bit. But I'm impatient over this car. I feel like I've been waiting for it since January. But I'm trying to avoid making bad purchase decisions...
In any event, the Volkswagen CC is very nice. I've owned a Jetta and two Passats in the past. And a friend just bought a new'ish Passat a few days ago. I test drove it with her and it was really impressive. Volkswagen really is strong German quality without the price tag...
Deck lid looks good tooGot the roof wrapped today all black top looks good
LOLI'm with you Merlin. My car was just dropped off at the dealer by the body shop that did my front end repair to have them calibrate the front sensor. Only the second time it's seen the dealer in 2.5 yrs of ownership. They say they'll have the car back to me tomorrow but we'll see. I'm already preparing for the call..."Yeah sooooooo, we need to wait for the Stinger "specialist" to come in and figure this out. He's in Kathmandu right now. We'll let you know in 3 weeks when/if we figure this out". Ughhhhh just please, PLEASE don't damage the car. I feel like I just dropped my kids off at Michael Jacksons house for a play date...
