I did it to one side of a Swiss Army a year or so ago and it held up nicely. How well is that going to hold up?
HiThank you for your service, sir! Yes, I hear ya about money. It's tight here as well. I want/need the GT2 but I'm not 100% sure that's going to work. I'm a few months over a year on a brand new Accord so I'm not sure how that's going to work out. Worst case scenario I could always wait a bit. But I'm impatient over this car. I feel like I've been waiting for it since January. But I'm trying to avoid making bad purchase decisions...
In any event, the Volkswagen CC is very nice. I've owned a Jetta and two Passats in the past. And a friend just bought a new'ish Passat a few days ago. I test drove it with her and it was really impressive. Volkswagen really is strong German quality without the price tag...
Plastic transmission pan!?Changed the oil for the first time and added some armor under my car from Skid Plate Guy. I'll be doing a guide on how to install that in a few days. Definitely recondmend it especially with that plastic transmission pan. Plastics have come a long way but I'd still rather steel sumps, rather dent a thing then crack it.

Also sending out a sample of my oil to Blackstone for some piece of mind.
Plastic transmission pan!?I never heard.
That’s a nice job & it should provide additional protection, I like it a lot.Changed the oil for the first time and added some armor under my car from Skid Plate Guy. Wow, I always assumed it was aluminum or some alloy; metal, in other words; I guess a really tough non metallic is okay, but surprising. Here a pic of the trans pan
3M adhesive promoter is what you need to use right before you bond a spoiler, that stuff will ensure the 3m tape never lifts, it's what the pros use. If it starts to lift new tape and the adhesive promoter will ensure you never have the problem again.Got my M&S type G spoiler on tonight. These things should come stock. They look so good IMO. Crossing fingers it stays on hahaView attachment 53269
Yeah they use this kinda polymer for a lot of things now. Intake manifold and valve covers are also made of similar stuff, but they aren't in harms way. Plastics have come a long ways though, this stuff is probably tougher than aluminum (seen many a aluminumg oil pan smashed to bits), but I'd rather not test it.Wow, I always assumed it was aluminum or some alloy; metal, in other words; I guess a really tough non metallic is okay, but surprising.
These the StingerHaus Winglets? I am considering the front in gloss for my Black Stinger. How much ground clearance do you lose up front?finally received and installed my gloss black winglets! had the fronts before and one got destroyed when a large rabbit jumped out of the brush next to the road. took 5 months to get replacements, went ahead and got the side ones too.View attachment 53582View attachment 53583View attachment 53584
Are your DRLs yellow? If so, how did you do it?finally received and installed my gloss black winglets! had the fronts before and one got destroyed when a large rabbit jumped out of the brush next to the road. took 5 months to get replacements, went ahead and got the side ones too.
Yes, Stinger Haus. maybe 2 inches or so. I'm on Ark springs (the lesser drop of the two) and I still have pretty good clearance. I do have to be careful coming in and out of driveways and steep inclines though. These the StingerHaus Winglets? I am considering the front in gloss for my Black Stinger.
