What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

@terrelltechsup I was in the same boat (well, except the rogue socket)

It only takes ~1hr to change plugs, I don't see what the big deal is with running regapped stockers for a week or two.

Picked up a few pieces of new flooring and tile for a remodel in one of our bathrooms#gottafixwhatsbrokenbeforethebabycomes

completed me KDM rebadge with front emblem, wheel center caps, and installed my first sticker (for that extra 5hp)

also, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - i had my detail shop install Xpel film on the piano black exterior door column trim pieces - no more worrying about passengers/dealer technicians scratching them! 2C8B1C37-BEEB-4704-9A2D-B6C746C71219.webpC2DF0C36-550B-4FD9-978D-8475A77713A1.webp344F87F3-FA1C-4548-A9A7-E2960286ECA7.webp

I started a thread in exterior discussion however I’ll ask her since more people see it. If turning in a lease will they make you put stock badges back on ?

No lease is over yet, so nobody knows. But why would a dealer get huffy about Kia badge swaps? Some dealers swap the badges on brand new cars and display them that way.

I can imagine the requirements are different turning in a lease than trading in your own vehicle. A leased vehicle is technically not yours to do as you wish. I'm not saying it's right but some are sticklers to adhere to the lease contract. Plus, dinging you for every little thing is another way they make their money (aside from their ridiculous money factors).

Honestly, on my leased Subaru Legacy the dealership actually complimented my de-badging work. I took off all the manufacturer and dealership crap and made all of the Subaru ovals matte black and chrome. They told me they made a pretty penny on re-sale. I actually made $1000 on the turn-in! My service writer told me they couldn't wait for my first service to see what I came up with.

I turned in my leased 2.0 Premium and the rebadging actually helped sell it as used in roughly 12 hours.
Did you pay a lease termination penalty? I guess if you were trading in for the GT2 that the lease would roll over? Anyway, good job getting rebadging to work in your favor!

V.1 or V.2 Front Lip? Did you drill holes for the side skirts? Planning on getting them too.
V2 - Just a couple. I don't think you have to but my mechanic didn't want to take any chances. For the lip it's a little flappy in the middle. So likely going to add a couple of rubber "grommets" in the middle to tighten it up. You can add those lip strut rods but I'm not a big fan of how they look.

Tinted windows - suntek ceramic 35% and 70% on windshield

I gave it a bath, hoping to lure the great spirit into giving us some rain. Happy to say it worked. I didn't want the rain so much as I wanted a good light show to go with it, I haven't had a good chance to go shoot (photos) thunderstorms recently.

Is that the 20th Special Edition ? ............the wheels ??

I would say no , but if they want to be dicks they could.............best approach is to ask for an extra $250 to cover your "upgrade costs " ................I actually returned a moderately "visually modded" car that the dealer offered me $2000 cash NOT to take the STUFF off .................splitters , spoilers , diffusers etc

Tomorrow my intake, velossa ducts, JB4, and blow off valves should be coming in.
