I hem hawed around with the 2018....decided to wait for the 2019....then decided against it....test drove what seemed like 100 other cars.....dissatisfied.....continued to blow off buying a new car. Woke up this morning with a huge crack in my windshield and decided that's it, I'm done, just go buy the car, TODAY.

GT2 AWD w/18"wheels, snow white pearl with red seats. Never thought I'd own a white car or a car with red seats, but this thing truly is beautiful :)

MSRP $54,065, $2000 dealer discount, $2000 competitive bonus, $2750 financing rebate (3.9% but will pay it off first payment). $47,315 before tax/title. They threw in a free remote start and I refused to pay for the dealer add on paint protection. Not the best deal, not the worst deal, but ok by me considering hell or high water I was going to buy a car TODAY.

Do I HAVE to use premium gas in this car?

Feeling excited, and hoping I still have the capacity to learn the electronics!

Congrats! Welcome to the family!

Welcome! And compared to my out the door price of 51k, yours is awesome. I use 93 octane top tier gas. Enjoy the ride

I'm not sure , theres nothing difficult to applying ceramic , the sprays are a hybrid system which I dont think are anywhere near as durable , I'm old school I love to detail my cars so I'm a polish and wax guy , there are some very good waxes for white cars .....................do some research and you'll find something that works for you !!

Congrats. You'll love the ride. I use 91 octane in my GT, I presume the US/Canada models would use the same, our Aussie models are tuned for 91 and don't believe higher octane ratings really make any difference to performance (that's what my dealer told me anyways). Happy to be corrected though.

No. 87 octane will not hurt anything, since Kia says that is the minimum to put in the car. If you don't use premium octane, your performance won't be up to the Kia advertised specs. In normal driving you'll never notice a difference. And probably, since the engine adjusts itself to the octane, you'll not notice any lower gas mileage either.

However, my attitude is this: why make the engine have to adjust in the first place? Why not use the octane that the engine is designed for to get maximum performance? It tickles my vanity to know that my engine is ready anytime, anywhere, to turn this car into a rocket. It would bother me to know that the gas I have in the tank is not going to allow the acceleration the car is intended to have. Why get chincy on gas when you've bought a high performance car? To save a little money over time? I want the power available.

The best combo, welcome to an exclusive club! :D

No, you don't have to run premium. 87 Works just fine and won't harm anything, but for best performance - in my case, when I take her to the hills or the drag strip - you'll want to run higher octane.

Congrats on finally pulling the trigger! White with red was my other option for this car, it's a great combo. I say go with premium, the highest you can get. If you find a gas station with pure gas, use that. On my 2018, I had the opportunity to do a few tanks of pure gas and that gas seemed to run better and I got better mileage out of those tanks. I'll need to get some for this car as well. Congrats again! Post some photos when you get a chance.

Congrats!
