Well I Finally Did It

Good to know, we don't see 6" much around here. My former cars were all Mustangs except one Fusion. Last one was a Bullit - that thing was like a hockey puck even with snow tires. Relying on the AWD with this car for a better experience and no more dragging tires in and out twice a year, I'm getting too old..or lazy....or both :)
The AWD Stinger is a "plow" in the snow, the polar ( :) ) opposite of a "hockey puck". Even with only A/S tires. On the freeways last winter, with slushy snow between the lanes three and more inches deep, I could angle to change lanes and hear the snow beating on the bottom of the chassis and wheel wells but the wheels stayed solidly planted to the road: no hunting side to side or lifting. Solid. I was easily the fastest (relatively, we were all doing under 50 MPH most of the time); and the only one changing lanes to take advantage of open spaces; you could say that I changed lanes with impunity! :D Just make sure you go easily enough around corners and maintain lots of distance; those are the number one and number two rules of winter weather driving.

Even though the Jersey shore winter weather here is not terrible, I can't wait to see how this awd handles! My previous 17' Elantra Sport was absolute crap.

I'll probably go back and forth with premium vs. regular and see how it feels. At least I know I now can use regular if I want (thank you!). The gas tax in Ohio is going up 10 cents/gallon July 1st. Grrr.
And in my part of Ohio, Premium is $0.60 more than Regular. That's about $10 more per tank or about $500/year extra.

That's pretty steep. But getting the extra acceleration is worth it to a lot of people.

Here's a question I don't remember ever being asked before: If you are using regular gasoline, run the tank down to pretty much gone and then fill up with high octane, does the engine adjust instantly and give you fully rated performance? Or does it take a while, running a few tanks of high octane, to get back full performance? (that's two ways of asking the same question) If the engine adjusts right away, then you could run regular all the time until you felt the "need" to blast forth with full POWAAHHH!!! Go get a tank of high octane and have fun. :D

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Yikes! I guess I can't complain too much in my area. We tend to have some of the lowest prices in the country.

Oh my, I AM going to get a ticket LOL. Driving back from the dealer on the highway and no one's around me so I decided to see what the car can do. Looked up and realized I was already doing 95 - seriously holy cow I swear it felt like 60-65. Now I see the real value of that HUD :)

Love the car though!! No regrets :)

Exactly how my wife described her test drive, only she was doing over a hundred when she looked down. Shocked, she was. :D
