Tires for 20x9+30 and 20x10.5 +45

So I called and spoke to a rim and tire place about installing this rim picture 20x9 35+front 20 x 10 40+ offset rear. he said no will not clear the calipers I said everybody is using this offset and style of rim with no problem. He said I need like a 22+ offset which nobody is using on this forum do these people not know what they're talking about?

Run!

Is that picture from ebay? You could just have the seller mount and balance a package for you and then install it yourself.

Yes that's correct eBay Aspire motoring I've bought two sets of rims from them in the past. I always had a good experience with them super fast shipping less expensive than anybody else and good quality rims/wheels. but main question 35 offset seems what everybody is using why would it be any different with this flat faced rim?

So has anybody had issues with running a 35+ offset and run into the calipers with the inner part of the spokes? and yes I'm going to piece this together I'm buying the tires from onlinetires.com or having a local tire company match online tires pricing. I just don't want to have to drop in spacers if the spokes come in contact with the caliper I want to do this one time and do it right and I know it's been beat to death but just want to make sure before I purchase these.

I have a driveway with a ramp, I regularly have to deal with speedbumps and my neighborhood has ditches that I've seen make other cars scrape..but I haven't. Regardless of suspension mode, I've yet to rub.
Are you on ARK GT-F or GT-S (newer) springs? Any pictures? I'm trying to decide which set to go with.

I'm on the GT-F Springs. If I were buying now, seeing that I'm RWD I may have gone with the new GT-S..maybe. Pictures will be up after I decide I actually want to get up today, haha.

I'm so happy to announce with everybody's help and 100% assurance they would fit the 20x9 +35 mm front rims i bought do not fit and hit the f*cking caliper at least 5mm 7mm off, 35 mm is not the correct offset for the front rims and these are fairly flat faced rims. So now I'm stuck having to go by god damn wheel spacers to push the rim out so it doesn't hit the f****** caliper. I should have just listened to the rim guy. You can add that to the stupid rim list you have.

Scott, the +35 offset is correct. It's the fact that that particular wheel has a flat face and it doesn't give the clearance required for our large calipers. You need to find the same wheel specs with spokes that aren't so flat. See this cross sectional diagram as an example.

Here's good diagram showing what I'm trying to say. Note that the far right wheel spokes have more curvature to them to allow for caliper clearance. This can be achieved with certain wheels and wheel manufacturers and still maintain the same offset (the difference is that one wheel will have a curvier spokes than the other).

Lastly, you DO NOT what a 20x9 +22 wheel in the front. While the wheel may clear the caliper, it will stick out past the fender and cause a whole mess of other problems including the tire potential destroying your fender every time you hit a bump or compress the suspension.

Yes! Well said!! I was gonna chime in as well! My buddy has a +35 on the front of his! No issues!

I made my decision on mine! They are being shipped today! Ounce they are ceramic coated and the car is detailed, I will do a photo shoot and post some pictures and also comment on the brake upgrades I did. - simple upgrades I did!

Unfortunately the wheel I have has a little less curvature make a contact the caliper. my understanding was most any 35 mm offset wheel would fit, reading through all the posts I didn't see anybody that had a problem with a 35 mm wheel or even mentioned anything about the caliper being an issue. Just my f****** luck I guess. Should have ordered the 30 m m probably would have been just right, I just hate using a Band-Aid to fix problem but a pretty easy fix. Sorry got pissed and took it out on everybody here, my deal. Thanks for the follow up explanation.

All good bro. No one is upset! We all want you to be happy with your setup so we can all enjoy. We are all here to help!! Need pictures when they are mounted! I’m sure your car will look awesome!!

I was thinking those wheels may fit on a 2.0 or Premium Stinger because they have different and smaller brakes/brake calipers.

Yes I worked at eibach springs for about 5 years so I know it goes into the quality design and workmanship of an eibach. Yes sway bars are next just didn't have the funds to buy them together. Can't wait to see this on the ground with the new rims and tires!!

No doubt! What tires and rims did you go with? Did you do the 285-30-20 on rear with the 20-10.5

Yes 20x9 in the front 20x10.5 in the rear. 245/35r20 front 285/30r20 rear. The rears are on looks super fat

do you have pictures of the rear only? I would like to see...what offset is the rear
