The confusion may abate if you'll put down the dope.
It isn't a Canbus tool, the name can throw people off. It is just a remote starter with a bunch of other really cool features built in. All controlled from the original factory remote.Very cool. So the question that I have now is can your canbus comm tool be used in conjunction with a tuning tool? I used to tune Ford, GM and Mopars. Fors and Mopars do not like multiple canbus tools talking to them at once...
How's that illegal? People keep their windows down and doors unlocked, all, the, time. Is your gov't saying that YOU are tempting weak thieves into mischief? Here in AUS a driver was issued a ticket last week for parking his vehicle at a service station with the windows down and doors not locked whilst he went inside to buy something. He'd probably be locked up if the engine was running!
I believe an unattended vehicle is required to be secured. It may sound strange but that's the law. How's that illegal? People keep their windows down and doors unlocked, all, the, time. Is your gov't saying that YOU are tempting weak thieves into mischief?
Protecting you from yourself, heh. Just like motorcycle helmet laws and driver seatbelt laws. Nanny state mentality. Of course, it is about revenue.I believe an unattended vehicle is required to be secured. It may sound strange but that's the law.
It is illegal here in BC Canada to leave your car unsecured. Had a friend that was given a ticket in Vancouver for leaving his car unlocked while he popped in to grab his take-out pizza. His car was parked legally on the street and all his windows were rolled up, but the drivers door was unlocked. The cop was at his car when he returned - Cost him $70!!I believe an unattended vehicle is required to be secured. It may sound strange but that's the law.
How did the cop know in the first place? Just looking for a chance to make money for the gov't. Not enough real criminal activity going on to guarantee job security, so they are scoping out ordinary citizens to see if they can get them on a technicality. I imagine this cop watching people getting out of their cars, and he goes up and tests doors, and when he finds one that opens, he waits for the driver to return and cites them. It’s to stop kangaroos from hoping into the window and stealing the car. How's that illegal? People keep their windows down and doors unlocked, all, the, time. Is your gov't saying that YOU are tempting weak thieves into mischief?
Well there's a thought: how does one "secure" a convertible? It’s to stop kangaroos from hoping into the window and stealing the car.
You don't. Only pimps and lunatics drive convertibles so its assumed you're a criminal anyways.Well there's a thought: how does one "secure" a convertible?
So you're asserting that any convertible with the top down and parked is easy meat for a citation happy cop? Basically, a convertible is "illegal" to park with the top down? You don't. Only pimps and lunatics drive convertibles so its assumed you're a criminal anyways.
That's right! In fact it's likely probable cause for investigation of the other crimes that individual is most definitely perpetratingSo you're asserting that any convertible with the top down and parked is easy meat for a citation happy cop?
