Heard crewdawg hit ~126mph traps but don't think they got the launch they needed to set a new record. On the plus side I found a bug in the JB4 logging for those running > 25psi... Which, is exactly one customer. :) Fixing it now.
 
We ran 11.5s all night with 126mph but we didn’t get any better than 1.80 60. We tried a few tings but it just wasn’t the night. Also the trans didn’t like it either so off she goes to get built. Really excited for what comes next

Crew fill us in on the tranny...it failed I take it? If it failed on the brake snip or whatever you owe it to the forum to tell us what went wrong . The only thing to get excited about is ?.... this platform just might not be ready for prime time at the drags.....its a GT cruiser.grocery getter. daily driver and not too much else....and there aint nuthin wrong with a 12/11 second car that looks awesome !:) Wash
 
We truly beat the crap out of this car. BTW she don’t even have 5k in her. Most of that has been Dyno. Not sure if the trans got supper hot but she definitely is hurt. She slips bad. Not bad enough to get her to the shop but she’s definitely hurt. We’ll find out soon enough and report back.

When we broke the record we were launching under 3k and that’s what I recommend for you guys right now.
Not that this is comparable to most out there but she’s sitting around 550hp and 620trq now

I would love to see a large transmission cooler for this car. Maybe a deeper pan option as well.

You doing just clutch and brake pack upgrade or anything to the converter?

This car is running ~100whp more than the rest of you and being really beaten on. The larger turbos make less power off the line as they need to spool up so it's not likely launch related IMHO, but simply transmission clutch pack holding capacity. Factory parts are only going to get you so far and usually the transmission is the weakest link when it comes to the hunt for 10s. Looking forward to hearing about the autopsy.
 
Its going to be the clutch capacity of the factory clutches in the trans. Just as you said we are leaving the line with some really serious torque so as the fluid heats up its going to be harder for it to hold at this level. I really dont think this is something the stock turbos guys need to be really concerned with just as of yet as we are maybe 80-100ish torque higher than the stock turbos. We were already in talks with someone on a converter and trans help anyways as we figured with how hard we were beating the car it would eventually happen.
 
What are the best time ever posted for a Stinger w/JB4 as only mod? Map 1 or 2....Has it ever happened, lol?!? I'm wondering what real life gains to expect when jumping from stock to JB4 map 1 or 2.

I actually ran mine for the first time a few weeks ago completely stock (unless you count the catch can) on the first pass, and then in map 1 on the next. Stock was 13.1 and Map 1 was 12.7. I used the stock launch control for both passes. DA was around 2500. All that said, this was my first time ever racing anything at a track, so I have no idea if I am posting decent times or not.

Nice time with that DA, and dropping 0.4 seconds off 1/4m with a stock Stinger & map1 only proves how well it works.:thumbup: Intakes should drop another ~0.2sec, and map2 will have you in low 12s!

Since my first track night I've installed the denso plugs and put on a DIY intake. Planning to take it to my local test-n-tune tomorrow night and see how map2 performs. I even picked up some 260 GT Plus so I may try map5. Not sure if its safe to run map7 with my current set up or not....

See how map5 runs on the GT260 and if it's pulling well you can give map7 a whirl.
 
Nothing ground breaking, but its a PR for me...

12.34 @ 115 1.95 60' running map 5 with 260GT Plus. DA was somewhere around 1500.

On my first pass I ran in map 1 on 93 pump gas to try and get a baseline, but I guess I was heatsoaked because I had a terrible run...

13.3 @ 107 2.1 60'

Intake temps reading on the jb4 were 174 at the line. I'm assuming that's what did me in?
