Drag/Acceleration The Official 1/4 mile track thread.

Was Terrys 12.4 dragy or slip? If dragy then slip would be 12.6 at best probably 12.65.
Possibly since track conditions, heat soak, etc. could make a big variance in times overall. But remember Terry is a RWD GT without LSD so he probably would get much better traction at a prepped track and likely offset those other disadvantages. On a good first run I bet he would be close to his dragy times and at worst be in the 12.5s.

Yes, his 12.4 was dragy, but hyperjetta ran a 12.7 at the track with hot summer weather just using the JB4 on map1.

Since Map2 & Map3 each provide a significant bump in HP & TQ gains, dropping another 0.1-0.3sec should be pretty accurate.

On stock tires, 1WD, E30, map3 I normally run ~12.2s@117mph dragy. Have gone quicker on the odd run with traction but it's the exception.

With intake, correct?

Yes with intake. Have our prototype IC now which hasn't really improved peak performance but when it's warm out my times are more similar to when its colder out now at least.

Maybe one day mine will hit 12s lol.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
BMS is working on an intercooler AND a catch-drain can? Are you guys going to be the 1-stop-shop for everything Stinger? When are you doing sways/springs? :-)

About the only thing on my stinger shopping list where you guys don't have a product (intakes, springs, sways, jb4, intercooler, spark plugs). Just waiting to hit 1000 miles..

1-stop shop for just the parts that matter. :)

Dumb q - where do you buy the parts for e30 set up? Do we need a better pump and injectors to feed more fuel into it?

Wait - these are available and work with jb4? I kept thinking it was still "in development"..

You can run e30 with your injectors, just dont pass it as it robs power and does more harm than good.. Ive had the best luck with pure C85 from VP racing mixed into shell 93 in an E20 mixture (google the mixing chart)

I'll be at our local test and tune Friday.

Setting up the brake bypass switch this week, hoping to get a few runs in to see how well it does. 1st time going.
I installed one today. Wired into the number 5 wire on the brake light switch. The car is AWD and launches hard. I have the switch loose behind the fuse cover and I will just leave it out when at the track, have to wait for Friday. I flip it off just before launching and the other traction control light comes on and then I flip it back as soon as the car is moving. as a bonus you can flip the switch and nobody can shift the car out of park.

With it done at the ECU wire nothing turns on at all in dash, other than a flashing auto/start stop after a few miles of driving, and no issues shifting. If you're cutting the wire at the brake pedal that might have adverse effects on ABS and stability control so not a good idea, unless it's ONLY the wire feeding the signal back to the ECU.

Same.

What does this product do for our cars? @Terry@BMS

Fuel-IT released the Flex Fuel kit for our cars. Allows the JB4 to read actual E85 mixture and auto tune based on E85 mixture. And soon will allow auto tuning of chargepipe injection. :)

So are these two separate modes: one for just E85 in the tank, one for the WMI kit injecting E85, or just the latter??

Will this allow full E85, even with some power loss? Full E85 is so easy.

So is there a benefit to those of us with WMI, or is it 6 in one hand, half a dozen in the other?

That's completely different. E85 is fuel, chargepipe injection would be for fuel. WMI can raise the octane and cool your IATs, but it is not fuel.

Thanks. Coming from a Subaru world, where you just put in a new fuel pump and larger injectors, this concept is new to me..
