Drag/Acceleration The Official 1/4 mile track thread.

I'll be going out to our local test and tune track for the first time the 5th. Debating on throwing my ET streets back on or just going with my NT05's and seeing how they handle it. I'll be on a e85 mix w/ meth @ 75/25 dilution. I need to go to our local spot and do the brake switch trick and see how sticky I can get my street radials in order to decide which setup I'm going to go with.

Not going out with crazy high hopes. I want that sub 12 sec slip though.

Also, anybody with JB4 and WMI that has any tips/tricks for me in regards to settings in the app, please PM me so I can tweak things appropriately. I've asked about the IAT spoofing with the 6cyl timing but didn't get an answer on how to apply it, so I didn't want to just go adjusting things unknowingly.

IAT spoofing requires a special wire added.

The WMI additive determines the boost level which will be done based on octane and how the car is running. Start at 40-50 and evaluate from there.

I’ve run 75/25 fine, I can do a few pulls and send you the logs to review. I have my own barrels so I can dilute to whatever suits the situation.

The WMI additive is the extra boost you get on WMI not the mix. :)

You referring to spiking it with nitro?

currently my settings in the jb4 under "boost additive" are at 80.

80 is way too high to start at.

Is "boost additive" extra boost and timing or just boost? Is there a scaling factor, or a way to figure out what 50 means? 1 PSI, 2 PSI?

Currently has a tank of 93/e85 mix in it. What would you suggest with my 75/25 mix? From the pulls I've made everything looked fine, I would have to find the logs of me running the ZL1 camaro, I'm pretty sure i logged that 30-130 run.

I was under the impression it was in relation to how much boost is produced, so 30 = map3, 50 = map5, 75= map7. I could have read or be wrong. I was trying to produce the most boost for my fuel and meth ratio at the moment.

FWIW I've had the WMI kit on for a bit now, so its not my first time using it. Just the first time at the track and not in the streets of Mexico.

If the logs at 60 and 70 are clean and the car is running well 80 is fine. But it's not a starting point it's the final destination.

I'll go through my logs and see if I can find one to review.

Sounds like a plan!

Cecil County is actually an awesome track to run at bro. Just that the night we ran, they were having a 'No Prep' street Outlaw race so they didn't prep the track. I usually run .1-.2 seconds faster at Cecil than I do at Atco in all my cars. And .1-.2 seconds faster at Atco than Englishtown (which is no more as of this year).

It was good to race you. Saw you at DE Park earlier today at the car show event. You drove past me while I was heading into DE Park. Stop following me mang.

I may bring my slow Civic out to Atco tomorrow to run some tests. It'll be hot (76f-86f), Humid (87%) and a sucky air density (2000ft-2600ft). It'll be good to test your 60ft times though. I have a ghetto homemade intake I'll be testing out with some heat shielding. Want to see how well it works in the worst conditions. If you come out to Atco, I'll see you there. Don't mishift! Or my CVT may embarrass you. :p
I will do my best to stay in front! I thought I saw you as well going to the show. See you around my friend

That was me! Kato says Cecil is a slop pit of a track, but its local to me. But, I will be running at Atco. I have video of the Stinger spinning on launch. This past Friday I cut a .076 light. Last race was 2019 Mustang performance pack, who by the way, his brother just bought a Blue Stinger. I holeshot him, and beat him to the end heads up. He ran 12.3 at 116 or 118, I have to look at my slips. My 60' is pretty bad. Best was 2.0 something

Haha! I'm the brother that just bought the blue stinger. We actually were just at the track a couple days ago and I ran it for the first time (also my first time running anything at a track). Despite the hot weather and not having any idea what I was doing I think I did ok. Did three runs total:

1st: 13.129 @ 107, 2.052 60' (map0 on the jb4)
2nd: 12.749 @ 110, 2.008 60' (map1)
3rd: 12.806 @ 110.66, 2.046 60' (map1)

Sweet, we are trying to go to Atco tonight, June 28 or Cecil county again. Depends on a few things, weather prob shit for beating previous runs, but my fiance also wants to get a few runs in the Stinger under her belt before she gets the Drift model.
I will try a few different maps tonight

Any other mods than jb4?

A catch can if that counts, haha (ADD W1).
I'm putting in the Denso plugs this weekend so that I can run a more aggressive map. I'm curious how much I can push out of the car with just the tune.

Should be able to run low-mid 12s. Terry RWD GT ran 12.4s with just the JB4 and he had limited traction without the LSD. Are you RWD or AWD, and do you have LSD if RWD? Also suggest putting your info in your signature so everyone can see what you are running.

Was Terrys 12.4 dragy or slip? If dragy then slip would be 12.6 at best probably 12.65.
