For Track Results:
1. Provide picture of track Slip. Try to provide a picture of the track slip by your car number if possible, this will ensure the track slip belongs to your car.
2. Video of track run. Its 2019 and everyone owns a smart phone. Have someone record you when you make your runs. If you break a record then this is the ultimate proof that no one can deny. This is what will make your run 100 percent validated. Of course make sure you record the time at the end. (Optional, Not Required but preferred)
3. List all performance mods, including tires, WMI, Nitrous, weight reduction, etc......

For Dragy Results:
1.Post the dragy slip/result. Your name should match your user name or real name to make sure you used it on your car.
2. If possible have someone record you, although not required but helpful. (Optional, Not required but preferred)
3. Be honest about the conditions you ran in, meaning temperatures. Winter time vs summer time. Dragy should be used more as a performance reference, rather than the ultimate 1/4 results.
4. List all of your performance mods.

Everyone I have started a new 1/4 mile thread. Lets start fresh, let leave the past behind us.

I love this Stinger community, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing but we need to respect each other. We need to understand we are all adults and at the end of the day we are talking to other adults. Let's not personally attack people, remember a computer screen can only protect you so much. You never know who you will run into in real life.

Everyone lets be respectful of each other. No matter what let's keep this thread on the 1/4 mile discussion. I added the times and the new guideline to be on the list.

Lets follow a simple rule, we can argue, disagree, joke around, but lets not personally attack anyone. Let's keep the discussion 1/4 mile related.

If you want to be on the list follow the guidelines. Have a picture of the slip by your car number. If possible record the whole run, have a video.

Lets get back to business guys!!!! #LMTSFGA

Lets Make The Stinger Forum great Again!

Does everyone want to keep the dragy results on the list, since summer is coming and tracks will be opening up? We can still post dragy times on this thread they just wont be on the list. Any thoughts?

Personally, just so long as they’re kept separate, I’m good.

Keep, they are a good reference and reminder of who has yet to make a track run and where they may fall.
Thanks for hosting the thread!

Run your dragy at the track. Flat and grippy place to get a 0-60 time for that thread.

Just a thought I had, not sure if all tracks are like this but ours (Firebird raceway Eagle, ID) issues a number when you first go out for the season. Some people have the same number year after year. Just as a level of integrity after the last kerfuffle it is quite easy to write a corresponding number on your windshield that matches a time slip. I won’t add any more negative comments. Thanks for rebuilding the thread @Angel

Glad the other thread is closed, but it was very telling. Being a small business owner myself I was amazed at the way some conducted themselves. Being a consumer I think to myself, look at he tone this company takes on a public forum, is this someone I want to deal with if I have their product and issues arise? Pretty sad that mods had to get involved after issuing several warnings
I’m used to seeing Whipple & Helion & Procharger guys duke it out for bragging rights, but it is/was always cordial. The wisdom those companies used when engaged in online discussions is probably the same wisdom that guided them to be major players in the aftermarket. Having a great product is only part of the equation.

Good idea, never thought of that.

While the track season is starting in the US, its ending in ours :( Can't wait to see what the Stinger can do, waiting for good results from the US guys

the other thread was locked because of what you're doing here, attacking other people (even if you aren't using names). I understand what you're saying, but this isn't the place for it. Let's stick to 1/4 mile discussion only on here please.

Here is a tribute to the old days when we argued over slope and shift times before we started this more mature thread. Also a good data point for dragy guys going to the track.
Best guess is going from negative slope to flat will slow you about .04 to .07.
Screenshot_2019-03-21-06-52-58.webp Screenshot_2019-03-05-17-26-33.webp

The down slope 11.67 (run #4) had the slightest burbel on 1-2 shift (no throttle close) and that costs you .05. The 11.69 run i can't recall how it shifted so could have been a 11.64- 11.69 range.
The up run was a random pull over on the side of the track so not something i would repeat.
I also lost about 1.5 mph so its likely no Stinger has hit 120 yet.
Also a shout out to Locke for most useful drag content of the week on his dp dyno charts. Help set realistic expectations on those as they are selling like hot cakes, especially mids.

some tracks do have a negative slope, so keep that in mind

I agree but I would assume is very minimal if any. I would also assume that some tracks can have some positive slope as well.

it's the same as the draggy, they can have a slope of 1% max. While I'm sure there is a track somewhere with a positive slope, I doubt there are many. If you built a track, you would want to make it as "Fast" as possible within the NHRA regulations, you can start the track at either end you want. The only time you would get stuck with a positive slope is if the middle of the track is on top of a small hill or something and you didn't have enough money to level it out.

Has anyone had traction issues on AWD at the track? Has anyone had issues using Launch control at the track? Any tips to use it at the track?

Yes. I haven’t been able to use launch control because of traction. I was spinning all four when I tried, so I’ve been playing around with other launch options.

I had a thought yesterday - not sure if anyone has tried it yet. If you unplug the brake light fuse technically you should be able to brake boost ~1-3psi at launch (or burnout with RWD) which might help you at the track. But, I don't know if it would be more beneficial than launch control since I'm sure the RPMs will still be very low

I assumed you are on oem all season tires on 235 ?

The most common issue is bog off the line due to trans/ oil being too cold. ECU pulls throttle. Leave your oil gauge up and make sure you are at 200. if it isn't touching 200 or a sliver below it will bog. If you are too cool use AH and that seems to give you a little more head room but still can bog.
