The Kia Stinger - A Daily Driver's perspective. Ask me questions!

No.
But in Germany you can buy an additional Package for the GT Line (2900,- €).
Bigger Wheels, Seat heating and Ventilation, LED Front lights, Taillights LED + LED-Blinker,...
I think These Package is also available in other Countries... ;)

Well that's good news, if true for the US cars; the ones that have been on sale since may in Korea don't have rear LED blinkers. Good to see they may have fixed that.

It does not really matters if it have or not:
Somewhere on earth are Stingers with the LED-Blinker in the taillights.
So you can buy in aftermarket and install it in your Non-LED-Blinker-Stinger... :D

I think the parts regarding the LED lightning should be standard for that price. Even honda civic has full led lighting. On top trim without having to get any extra package. I really dont get the packaging stuff. They should then provide those things separately or include in the trim level.

It's Standard.
For the GT...

The People see it when i drive by with 270 km/h... :p

Did you already sit in the new Civic Type R?
I have - in Geneva, 10 minutes before i sit in the Stinger.
Hard plastic everywhere, bad haptics...
This car is not comparable with the Stinger...

Hi.

The "real" GT has LED-Blinker in Taillights in every Country.
I asked KIA Switzerland about it, they ask the Productmangers in Korea: Every ordered Stinger GT have the Taillight-LED-Blinker and also the AutoDim-Outside Mirrors.
The pichture of the Blue above show the LED's.
All the other Pictures and Cars in Videos are Preproduction and not the final Cars for Sale.

There is a new Video with LED-Blinker, but not in Action:

You are indeed a real Sherlock Holmes. Thanks for the clarification. My quotation is from the Canadian spec sheet...:)

It does matter, to some of us; some people may not want to pay extra, on top of an already expensive kia, for crap that should be standard.

I think you can make a Deal with your Dealer to get the LED really cheap or for free if the US-GT does'nt have it OME.
"I buy, but i want this and this for free"...

Regluar civic in its segment sub 30k is awesome. Thats what I was refering to. It is not even considered as a sports car. Yet with ECU tune and low weight it drives like a BMW. (have owned 5th series)

Civic sedan cargo is 520L while stinger has it ~430L. 1.5T civic goes 0-60 around 6 sec with Ktuner and is 25% more fuel efficient than 2.0t Stinger. Im not concerned about plastic in civic, hard plastic can be decent aswell and in civic it is. So its not exactly a problem here. Honda has upped their game and with the new 2.0t accord even more. 10 speed AT with skip gear function is gonna be a badass transmission and 2.0 iVTEC owns Kia's 2l engine for sure.

I own a 2012 Sportage and as it came out it was also praised as a leap forward for Kia. But tbh the engine and transmission (MT) sucked balls. Yes it is reliable, but compared to compeditors it is inefficient, slow and not dynamic. Stingers strong point is looks, as it was for Sportage. This is what I am quite sure of until I get to drive one and be proven otherwise.

Thanks for the research mate. Looks definitely better than incandescent lamp even being turned off.

The problem is I don't want to pay extra. It's KIA's decision to attempt to get market share owned by German rivals. To success Stinger should be perfect all around with reasonable price. There is no point for me to pay the same price as I would for A5 SB.

thankyou for the Information.

Can you please tell me more about the materials ans the Quality of the interiour? leather Quality and Buttons and so on?
espeacially in one Video I've watched the volume-button already looked worn out

I have, against a stock E92 M3 and a C63, in a tunnel and on a highway.
Close tie between the C, won against the M3. Driver skill must vary results.
I am going to race it against a brand new Ghibli soon. I will keep everyone updated on the results.

Any update with the races?

Hi Windmill,

Thanks for taking all of these questions and hope you're enjoying the heck out of your GT! I had two questions: 1) what sort of sunroof does the Stinger have? Is it a fully panoramic one with a large opening? Or is it more akin to the Mercedes style, where there are two separate glass panels for the fore and aft seating areas, with only the front seat area opening fully? 2) Did you happen to drive the 2.0T version before you bought your 3.3T? I'm quite curious about how that 2.0T AWD model drives. Thanks!

Windmill hasn't been turning for a while.....
but this might help:

Gotcha, thanks - but not sure I understand your message as it was blank, unless that was the point, i.e. there's no info on the 2.0t? Go easy on me, i'm new here and haven't yet had my coffee this AM ;)

L

Reply was supposed to be tongue in cheek, but also include an overhead shot of the car, showing the sun roof....doesn't load for some reason, although the preview shows it????

Ahh ok, thanks, didn't see a preview, probably have my browser on some weird setting. I ended up googling a sunroof shot, probably the same one, answers my question so thanks! Following up on my other one, would you know of any reviews of the 2.0t? Thanks again, L

Better late than never, had the same shot bigger, but this may do it....:)
