The Kia Stinger - A Daily Driver's perspective. Ask me questions!

Sweet!, more details. Was the M3 a MT or DCT? roll race or from a stop? until what speed?

Keep it coming and try to get the next races on camera!

Both were casual highway roll races. I cannot quite confirm the gearbox of the M3 because both the races were between total strangers.

The car is quite a performer. HUD told me that I was going 240km & the car felt like it wanted to yet accelerate even more. I am yet to reach the top speed. The car feels very safe & handles quite nimbly at unexpected speeds.

My verdict; call your dealers, take it out for a drive it as soon as possible. If you like how the car feels, go grab a 3.3 GT. It's a great car.

Let's prove the market that there is room for reasonably priced performance sedans & hopefully aid in the development for more.

Do you have the Harman 15 speaker setup ? How is the quality on that one ?

Korean market cars come with a Lexicon audio option (Just like the KDM Genesis') , not the Harman Kardon option that is planned for export vehicles. It's as good as my mom's Jag's Bowers & Wilkins, but a little less crisp as if to say.

How about the carpet on the floor. What sort of pile is it? Also, the roof liner - would this likely absorb cigarette smoke and the smell of cigarettes, or repel this?

Thank you Windmill for taking the time and effort to address our questions. To piggyback off of Rennokas' question, how's the stereo system in your car? Lexicon is a subsidiary of Harman, so the speaker setup in international markets will likely be the same (just under the Harman Kardon label).

My second question concerns your experience with turbo lag. Since the GT has a traditional 8 speed auto vs. a DCT, I'm curious to know if the car has significant lag between 0 - 3k rpm. Thanks.

Any idea if the AT could be produced by ZF?

The AT is built in-house by Hyundai/Kia. Helps keep costs down and presumed to be a bit more durable since its included in their 10yr/100k mile warranty. It's also used in the Genesis G80, and it's not considered to be a quickshifting tranny like the ZF.

Windmill, thank you for your input and I am sure there's more Qs to come.
Is there a Spare (Tyre) of any kind, I doubt it OR A space saver!!
Fuel Economy - as you mention it - DASH info and then converting it can't be right?

From an earlier discussion app_master:
14.8km/L
Converted by http://www.unitconversion.org/fuel-...er-liter-to-liters-per-100-km-conversion.html
6.756756757 !!!!! Does not make sense.

eg: HOLDEN SS-V Redline
Engine: 6.2-litre eight-cylinder petrol
Fuel: 12.6L/100km (ADR Combined)

In the specs combined fuel consumption listed add 11.2L/100km.

@Windmill , thank you for providing all this information.
I have another question for you: looking at the spec of the Genesis G80 Sport, the front and rear tire treads are 255mm and 275mm respectively. As you know the Stinger's tread sizes are 225mm & 255mm front and rear.
Having driven it now for while, do you think that the Stinger could benefit from wider treads like 245/275 or 255/275? (I am throwing 255 in, because one would only need to change out 2 tires going for wider treads :) )

My only question: does the Stinger have the ability to remote start the engine via UVO phone app?

Thank you for participating! If you have time to measure, I'd appreciate knowing the dimensions of the cargo floor.

Gonna bump this one. @Windmill if you are still here I have few more questions.

I can't find any video reviewing tail light turn signal. Are they LED? Can you film them?

I can't figure out how big trunk is. Can you place some sort of luggage inside and take a shot? Would be much appreciated.

The turn indicators are not led

Sucks they didn't add LED blinkers at the rear too. It looks SO much better with them:

Hi.

The "real" GT has LED-Blinker in Taillights in every Country.
I asked KIA Switzerland about it, they ask the Productmangers in Korea: Every ordered Stinger GT have the Taillight-LED-Blinker and also the AutoDim-Outside Mirrors.
The pichture of the Blue above show the LED's.
All the other Pictures and Cars in Videos are Preproduction and not the final Cars for Sale.

There is a new Video with LED-Blinker, but not in Action:

Well that's good news, if true for the US cars; the ones that have been on sale since may in Korea don't have rear LED blinkers. Good to see they may have fixed that.
