Hey all very new to the forum so .... Got a 2020 stinger GT1 AWD and I’m looking to upgrade my cold air intake, turbo I ntercooler and the exhaust. The quieter the better. I’m all about performance not noise. So any other upgrade ideas would be great ..any advice would be very much appreciated

thanks
SJ

Stillin cat back is very silent, MDPR is a bit louder. Borla is loudest and that's what I'm getting. Silent is for the Prius. Intakes are not that loud, if you want very silent get one that is made of plastic. However I don't like those so I will most likely get the Injen. However it is made of metal and maybe a bit louder than the other. As for intercooler, there are a lot of options. And they are all silent. If you want the whole package with the pipes and whatnot then I suggest you wait for the Mish one.

Hi. The universe is in balance; because my GT1 is stock (almost). Welcome to the forum. Modders comprise the most active segment of members.

Thanks for the info ...So performance wise which is the best? Silence can be amazing... Because they never see you coming And once your on them it’s over

I lo

I love my Borla!

They all claim to make massive power gains lol. Dont overpay for the same performance. Don't get the AP intakes, people say that they have filter falling off problems. Maybe that's fixed by now, idk. Honestly there are so many intake and exhaust threads that I lost count of who claims to be the best performer.

If you want silence get a Tesla. For the Stinger a variable exhaust would be best for you. Closed for everyday driving, open it up on race night.

Thanks all I’m gonna go with magnaflow #mag19406
Going to wait for Misimoto intercooler and i’m gonna keep on looking for a good cold air and take if anything pops up please feel free to let me know. No way I can go 100% silent I guess a better word I should’ve used was quieter. Totally love Borla but to me it’s a bit over the top for what I’m looking to do..just want a little extra nothing crazy

No problem. Everyone has their own preferences. I am also probably getting the Mish kit. I'm too poor for the JT one, this rebuild is expensive. Also one more thing: for the love of everything that one can love please install a good oil catch can. Like please. You will thank me later. If not you then the owner after you. This is what no catch can looks after 18k miles. That's power loss and possible knock right there. IMG_20200303_194212_043.webp

thanks I was actually looking at that on stinger 8 website has a catch can is that a good one? What’s the JT one? I’m I step above poor so I feel you this is going to be a good 6 to 8 months project for me so I got time

JT is Johnny Tig. Any cach can is good as long as it is baffeled. Plenty of reviews around.

Also I am planning to finish mine way before 6 months. It's already been a month since I got it and I still haven't drove it. It was smashed pretty hard. IMG_20200303_201433.webp

You're spreading preemptive misinformation, here... A catch can would not have prevented that. The catch can that feeds into the driver's side intake tube is pre-turbo and catches very little of anything because it's mostly there to vent extreme crankcase pressure, and the the other catch can that actually gets the blow-by feeds directly into the intake manifold thus bypassing the TB coupler entirely.

I think your wrecked Stinger had a lot more strangeness to it than meets the eye, I wouldn't necessarily assume what you're seeing will happen to all Stingers, if any at all, even.

Lol are you talking about the valves or the orange powder? If it's the dirty valves than the catch can would 100% prevent that.

My assumption is the orange powder since that's what you've been on about, lol

Hey so started project “slow jams” today... went with the magnaflow exhaust, sounds a bit lower than stock but more deeper also added the k and N typhoon both are exactly what I was looking for.... not very loud...next week big mouth snorkel ducts and dual catch-can...I’m going to wait for the Moto intercooler before I add the JB4 tuning mod...and project will be done...Nick at Kharturnerz has been great excellent advice ....I would highly recommend

Any pictures or sound clips of the exhaust?

What’s the best way to post video clips 12 seconds each?
