Tasteful upgrades for a GT1

What’s the best way to post video clips 12 seconds each?
You have to upload the videos to one of these sites (Dailymotion, Facebook, Liveleak, Metacafe, Vimeo, YouTube) and then you can just use the URL from the video by clicking the little film icon when making a post.

If you have a "cloud" storage account, just copy and paste a link from there. I use Dropbox.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
You're spreading preemptive misinformation, here... A catch can would not have prevented that. The catch can that feeds into the driver's side intake tube is pre-turbo and catches very little of anything because it's mostly there to vent extreme crankcase pressure, and the the other catch can that actually gets the blow-by feeds directly into the intake manifold thus bypassing the TB coupler entirely.

I think your wrecked Stinger had a lot more strangeness to it than meets the eye, I wouldn't necessarily assume what you're seeing will happen to all Stingers, if any at all, even.

I'm confused, I thought the first mod should be a good catch can system.

He was replying to the orange bits in my picture. A catch can won't stop the orange bits since it's more likely the coupler breaking down to physical stress. However the white buildup is 100% preventable so yes. CATCH CAN FIRST MOD

Totally correct first mod should be a catch can but it was on back order Everything was shipped out so put on what you got

Thanks... that video is of the stock Exhaust, stock has a pretty high drone the magnaflow exhaust is not as loud but has a very nice deep growl

If you want silence get a Tesla. For the Stinger a variable exhaust would be best for you. Closed for everyday driving, open it up on race night.
What tips did you get for your cat-back? That's the exhaust I intend on purchasing

A set of 63X105 ovals from Aliexpress. You'll have to search for them, the stock often changes from store to store.

I got a muffler delete with weld and it sounds perfect. The quieter the exhaust--the more restrictive.I also tried to post on here and it would not accept it--but on you tube my name is the same--Flaniganskywalker and show the exhaust.I wish KIA or intake people could prove things--I was talked out of an intake by KIA--they said an exhaust would let more gasses out and at higher RPMs would add a little more power--up to 7 to 10%--have no clue cause the car is fast anyway.BTW my gas mileage is fantastic--I was at 23 and after my exhaust I am at 25 around town.I usually drive about 10 over the limit-and the HWy near me is 70 and I got 80 to,90 and average almost 28--and yes I have the 3.3TT with AWD--its on you tube and I show the gas mileage.I also have the money to do things the right way--and waa going to get a KN which requires 2 and installation.Who knows--I might do it.BTW some say a muffler delete is cheap--it is--but my muffler guy use to work for ganassi racing and there is a reason those have no mufflers--it lets the gas out the fastest--short of cats--but you HAVE to get it welded to the car to avoid drone.I had a 1500 dollar borla on my last car that had bushings and hangars and not only did it drone--but the hangars had to be tightened every 6 months and it microscopically would shake--causing drone.Supposedly the best bang for the buck is a pressertech or tork tune--but I like reliability and want just an ECU tune--but when you dig deeper--tork admits in its tune that it ups the PSI of the turbo--I do not consider that a tune--turning the turbo PSI is from my experience a way to greatly affect reliability.I live near pressrtech and they assure me that the 1200 dollar tune adds up to 90 hp as long as you use premium gas--they are not doing any local customers cause of covid and I want to make sure it is an ECU reliable tune that does this and not overboosting the turbos.Gas is no problem--we have 93, 94 near me--and I can get 97 at a marina that is 4 dollars a gallon if needed.I am only going to do mods that work and keep the warranty--an exhaust past the cats keeps the warranty--service advisor near me signed off on it--said he would sign off on an intake--but I would have to oil it and he said that I might not do anything.

That’s why I was leaning towards getting the jb4 it’s a piggyback tune but it can be removed at anytime...where other tunes you have to mail the ECU and if you have a problem you need to mail it out again and wait for it back.

Also with the magna flow exhaust there is no drone what so ever... Saw your video on YouTube looks tight bro

Hey all very new to the forum so .... Got a 2020 stinger GT1 AWD and I’m looking to upgrade my cold air intake, turbo I ntercooler and the exhaust. The quieter the better. I’m all about performance not noise. So any other upgrade ideas would be great ..any advice would be very much appreciated

thanks
SJ

We have a variety of options available for you that will help you gain performance without adding tons of unwanted exhaust noise, drone, or other driving interference. I would be glad to help you make a few choices. My first suggestion would be to check out the Injen Intake for the 3.3T its a fantastic product with an intricately designed patented nano filter to keep out any potential debris while taking in cooler ambient air.

You can find the Injen 3.3T Intake HERE.

Please reach out if you have any questions at all. You can view all the other possibilities for your GT at www.K8StingerStore.com
