I got a muffler delete with weld and it sounds perfect. The quieter the exhaust--the more restrictive.I also tried to post on here and it would not accept it--but on you tube my name is the same--Flaniganskywalker and show the exhaust.I wish KIA or intake people could prove things--I was talked out of an intake by KIA--they said an exhaust would let more gasses out and at higher RPMs would add a little more power--up to 7 to 10%--have no clue cause the car is fast anyway.BTW my gas mileage is fantastic--I was at 23 and after my exhaust I am at 25 around town.I usually drive about 10 over the limit-and the HWy near me is 70 and I got 80 to,90 and average almost 28--and yes I have the
3.3TT with AWD--its on you tube and I show the gas mileage.I also have the money to do things the right way--and waa going to get a KN which requires 2 and installation.Who knows--I might do it.BTW some say a muffler delete is cheap--it is--but my muffler guy use to work for ganassi racing and there is a reason those have no mufflers--it lets the gas out the fastest--short of cats--but you HAVE to get it welded to the car to avoid drone.I had a 1500 dollar borla on my last car that had bushings and hangars and not only did it drone--but the hangars had to be tightened every 6 months and it microscopically would shake--causing drone.Supposedly the best bang for the buck is a pressertech or tork tune--but I like reliability and want just an ECU tune--but when you dig deeper--tork admits in its tune that it ups the PSI of the turbo--I do not consider that a tune--turning the turbo PSI is from my experience a way to greatly affect reliability.I live near pressrtech and they assure me that the 1200 dollar tune adds up to 90 hp as long as you use premium gas--they are not doing any local customers cause of covid and I want to make sure it is an ECU reliable tune that does this and not overboosting the turbos.Gas is no problem--we have 93, 94 near me--and I can get 97 at a marina that is 4 dollars a gallon if needed.I am only going to do
mods that work and keep the warranty--an exhaust past the cats keeps the warranty--service advisor near me signed off on it--said he would sign off on an intake--but I would have to oil it and he said that I might not do anything.
