Tasteful upgrades for a GT1

We have a variety of options available for you that will help you gain performance without adding tons of unwanted exhaust noise, drone, or other driving interference. I would be glad to help you make a few choices. My first suggestion would be to check out the Injen Intake for the 3.3T its a fantastic product with an intricately designed patented nano filter to keep out any potential debris while taking in cooler ambient air.

You can find the Injen 3.3T Intake HERE.

Please reach out if you have any questions at all. You can view all the other possibilities for your GT at www.K8StingerStore.com
That red would look nice on my white stinger.I might be a stickler--but on a cold air intake I had years ago--I could never get the cone cleaned--up to what I thought was acceptable and wound up buying them yearly.I need to see how much those cones cost to replace and might have to factor that in.I remmember KN being honest and telling me to use a very light oil--but I could never get em cleaned--once they got dirty--they seemed to keep a film on them not matter what I did. I will call injen cause this is most likely my next mod. usually these give up to 10%--which is abot 36 HP--the 20 hp gain seems low and it says up to.I plan on getting mine installed professionally--I just do not want to throw 500 to 700 dollars and only gain 5 hp and have to buy expensive filter cones every 7k to 10k miles or whatever the interval is.

AEM makes the most hp to date around 23 hp since it’s plastic no heat soak..I spoke with tork he loved them... I went with K and N because it has both looks and a good setup... wanted to give my engine bay that look. AP intakes fall apart after install Love their honesty but I just can’t trust their CAI

I totally understand where you are coming from, it's hard to justify spending cash these days but if you are looking for a great modification I would highly recommend it. When getting an intake its not really about horsepower at all. Every company will try to claim they make the most power or whatnot but the reality is that it's allowing your car to breathe in more colder ambient air. The placement of the filter is really important in that scenario and most of the options are going to be coated and better than going with a cheap plastic option. Additionally, installing one yourself is fairly easy using simple tools at home and that could help save you a bunch of money. Cleaning an oil filtered intake is really easy. I typically clean mine out when I do engine bay cleaning and have never had to swap my filter, as long as I was using high-end brands initially. Lastly, one of the great additional benefits of an intake is the aggressive engine sound you get when under throttle around 4k rpms. This helps make the car feel much more alive and ready.
