Stinger build page is active

Don't quote me on this but if it is like Kia's other remote start add on, you can "train" your normal key fob to start the car. Downsides are there is no notification on the fob it actually started, and the range is significantly less.
That's great to hear! That would definitely work for me!

Damn, there are aftermarket ones that let you do that? Do you have any suggestions, i've only used Viper before.

Is the Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC), w/ Stop and Go not part of the Kia Drive Wise Package?

I believe these options are only available on the G2 trim.

Kia Drive Wise Package +$2,000

Includes:
  • Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA)
  • Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS)
  • Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
  • Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)
  • Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
  • High Beam Assist (HBA)
  • Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) - Base Stinger only
  • Rain Sensing Variable Intermittent Windshield Wipers

Hopefully, the remote start should be included in the UVO phone app.

I believe that feature is exclusion to Hyundai BlueLink and the Genesis Intelligent Assistant. You can start your car using your smartphone, access a website to do it via a computer or use Alexa/Google Home.

So the G70 will likely have this functionality (one of of the reasons I am waiting).

The Kia UVO app does more GPS based stuff like find your parked car, send POI's, "My Car Zone" to monitor joy rides etc.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The lack of exterior/interior combo options is a bummer. I wonder/hope its just for this first batch of cars? I imagine that to start getting these things in showrooms at a reasonable time frame, they may not have built too many combinations, but maybe that could change later in 2018.

Weird, I know Kia Canada has it. It would definitely be a cool feature.

ASCC is listed as an option on all trims, yet I don't see any way to add it on the configurator.

I currently have a 2014 Genesis Coupe and will probably get a 3rd party (or port installed) remote start added, if I get one. In order to have remote start with BlueLink, you had to go into the 3rd tier of BlueLink and to be honest, it wasn't worth $300 a year just to get remote start, plus other things.

Yeah I agree, I've always heard it was in the drive wise package.

Or maybe it was the 2nd tier at $200 a year? I don't remember :)

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bug in their builder, considering it just went live today.

I was not intending on purchasing until next model year. but they are already striking out.
1. No deep chroma blue offered
2. Red Nappa leather not offered with my second color choice micro blue
3. Over 50K
4. Over 50k and I have to buy a set of all-season radials because there is no summer Tire delete option
5. Over 50k and doesn't offer 360 degree camera( doesn't even offer).
6. Horrible MPG
7. Horrible horrible Kia sales representatives

If things stay this way into next model year......

I AM OUT!

Weird, I know Kia Canada has it. It would definitely be a cool feature.

All different apps.

The Kia Canada UVO App allows it.
The Kia eServices app for the US does not.
The Kia UVO Luxury App (for the K900) allows it.
The Kia UVO Eco app (for plug in hybrids and EVs) allows you to lock/unlock, mod climate control changes, etc. but no Remote start.

I suspect if Kia did add this functionality down the road it would likely follow a Hyundai like tiered system in the US.

I am hoping for a few bugs--only one color interior "option" for each of six colors listed for the GT2....yikes

I really hope that's the case, considering that as an option, the LSD is only available for the GT model in the yellow color. That makes absolutely no sense. And why would it be offered in the GT model, but not the GT1.
Though they were explicit here:

It's about time.

The Stinger Premium is such a disappointment. With the drive wise package and destination, it's $40,000. Instead, I'll get a 2018 GTI Autobahn with performance brakes, limited slip diff, and all safety/tech features included standard for less money. (Or a Golf R with all of the above + AWD for roughly the same price as a Stinger Premium RWD.)

If we had something like the Korean spec GT Line, that might have made me reconsider. Instead, it was flaunted as a display car all over the country, only to be made totally unavailable for purchase. lol Kia...

I worry that this could actually be it because they've modded the US spec so much that perhaps the choices really are that limited at the moment. I don't know, I've never seen such oddities. I mean Kia is Hyundai right. They've been around for a while so I wouldn't expect such an amateur-ish rollout like this.

However, I notice that the the GT1 (in Black exterior only) actually offers 2 colors for the interior (black and red) so we know the system is capable of showing multiple interior color options. They're just not showing any for any other configuration.

We can only hope that maybe they're just slowly loading the available configurations into the system.
