Secret Dealer Rebate for Cash Purchase?

Why not actually find another dealer?

I bought mine from @KiaofMuncie and drove it home 560 miles or so, to avoid that kind of BS. Everything was negotiated by email and phone in advance, they picked me up at IND. Couldn't be happier.
SO Muncie is used to dealing with far away folks? The dealers around here are just crap, I would happily fly out there for a great deal.

Update: I spent the whole day going to three dealers, thinking the expiring incentive and end-of-month scramble would help. Nope.

The first dealer quoted me at MSRP (!!!). When pressured, they agreed to give a $200 discount (!!!!!) and claim they can't do any better. I told them they must be delusional to think they can move the units at that price, but they said another couple is looking at it right now. Maybe they did find a sucker.

The second dealer gave me a $5k discount. I said if you give me another $400 i will sign right now. No dice. I left.

The third dealer quoted me a $3k discount, and refused to even match the quote from the second dealer.

Eventually, I went home without a car :(
Same here, nobody wanted to really deal, they acted like the car was a C8 vette. Same happened to me. I know the deals are out there, and aonly getting like 3-4k off msrp is just silly (given the deals that are clearly available, as shared by other users)

What is wrong with a $5K dealer discount? Added to incentives you would be getting a good deal, imho.
I think he was saying that's all they would do WITH incentives, same for me. Dealers act like there is no way they can add a discount themselves when I see (a) that all over the place and (b) the dealer's own discount varying tremendously. So I know they can add 4k to the Kia 4k

Actually, that was before incentive, so with the Kia $4k would be $9k total. I was surprised they won't give me another $400 though, which would bring the discount to a nice even 10%.
