• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Saskatchewan Stingers

@Crisis What octane fuel are you running with your Racechip and what map?

I was running Map 5 on 91 octane for daily driving, but went to Map 7 on 94 octane with octane booster when I took it to SIR.

Originally, Racechip recommended nothing over Map 5 on 91 octane but have since clarified that if you change to narrower gapped plugs (which I did) you can run map 6 & 7 on 91 octane. So now I'm usually running Map 6 on 91 octane.

Stinger Zamboni !

Anyone in SK need a set of basically brand new winter tires? I have a set of 19" Nokian Hakkapillta R3's in the factory sizes. Put less than 4,000km on them. I made a pretty drastic career change this past year so I was forced to trade off my beloved Stinger for a Telluride SXL. One day I'll get my Stinger back.

Need a reason to get this thread back on page 1, so figure that this would do:

Did any of your Stingers bought in SK come from the dealer with a receptacle for the block heater cord mounted in the grille or front fascia? I ask because I've seen many other local Hyundai & Kia products with them (including my co-workers Elantra) but my Stinger doesn't have one.

In case you don't know what I'm talking about, I've attached a couple of photos taken from the Winter Daily Driver thread in the main Kia Stinger Talk subforum. They show the receptacle mounted in the lower grille on the driver's side.

I don't even have one installed. I bought mine from an Alberta dealer. They told me they installed one but it's MIA.

When I was shopping for my Stinger, Wheaton Regina priced the DEFA block heater install at $350. I'm assuming the photo above is what I would have received.

Interesting. I took a closer look at mine and see that it is the DEFA receptacle that my cord is plugged into. But instead of being installed in the grille of fascia, the DEFA receptacle and cable was just coiled up in front of the driver's side intake airbox.

Mine was dealer installed before I bought it. On the driver side front snorkel vent

@SKStinger , what exhaust tips are you running? Starting to look at doing a full exhaust, and remember you saying that your tips killed all the drone

I was seriously considering the jun bl, but really didnt like the 90° bends in it. Same with the mbrp. Seriously considering doing the stillen. The ultimate performance high flow cats and mids are also going to make it on too. Now that ewg control is here for the jb4, makes performance gains for the exhaust more tangible. I mean, the flow, and scavenging is horrendous in the stock system

Just saw an orange Stinger at the corner of 2nd Ave & 25th Street in Saskatoon about 7pm tonight. It was really quite striking.

Just decided to post this because it seems to me that someone who buys an orange Stinger is probably the type that would also come on a forum like this. Also, this thread was well overdue for a bump.

Wheaton Kia has one for sale. Only $57,250....

I LOL’d when I saw the price. Nice looking car though.

Rolled through Saskatoon a few weeks ago, saw 2 stingers within 10 minutes. Got to Regina later that day and saw 2 more stingers. Gotta admit I was rather shocked.
