Resonator delete

About to install borla or magnaflow mufflers. How do you guys think - do I need to install the resonators back on? Or should I just stick with idea of having a stock mufflers with no resonators. I really can't decide)) There is a long line in front of me.
Need advice or coin)

I've heard both of those have a good amount of drone. That's the last thing I want

I've decided to give Magnaflow a chance. Stinger feels like a muscle car now) Reminds me of driving a Dodge Charger. On highway speeds there is amount of drone. But not too bad. It's a matter of taste I think. You do like it and it doesn't bother you, or you don't like it and it does.
Maybe I'll find a way to make it not that noticeable inside. We'll see

It's on there already? Glad you like it. If you want it to be less noticeable inside I've heard people have good results with dynomatting the trunk where the battery is located

Hey this is late but wanted to ask for a video clip on the sound, because i put a flowmaster muffler on and questionable about removing the resonators.

Oh man, this thread is treading into ricer territory. All this work for a Frankenstein exhaust.

Just buy a cat-back and save yourself the time and effort. You will most likely end up with the same, if not better, sound and definitely better flow. Plus, it's easily reversible for the next guy instead of inheriting your hack job.

Off the top of my head.
First we will keep our stinger right?
Second. If you add slight zig zag into the delete for the resonator. Ie 40°-35°-40° or some piecut patteren the sound bounces and could come out sexy. Or even give the car an x pipe if it will work. That combine with a muffler that flows better than stock ie fart can style (not that look but that flow) will add crazy sound i feel... i am a garage mechanic who works with what he has :)

Get a catback. Also dealer somehow fixed my Borla drone lol

Has anyone had the resonators removed and replaced with pass through magnaflow mufflers and delete the factory mufflers

Okay. I lied. After a couple days and cruising around with the windows down, it did change the sound and volume. I made the recordings with the windows up and based my opinion off the recordings. The sound from the intake masked the change after the resonator delete. I forgot how quiet the car actually is. I don't know if it's the noise canceling in the HK speakers or what (if your trim model has it)

With the windows down, there is a noticeable but subtle sound increase. Nothing too dramatic though. There is a slight drone. I'm sensitive to a drone in a car and would say that it is 30% to what I would consider anything to be annoying.

There is also a slight "gargle" at the very end of when all the air goes through the system after releasing very light throttle.

I'll try to post a video but it'll have to be in between buildings to capture the sound but should be a good representation being equalized by sound loss in a recording with a phone mic.
I just did a resonator delete on my gt2 as well. Made a very significant difference -almost a bit too much. The drone is crazy at low rpm’s to the point that I can’t have the windows up during acceleration. Any ideas on why it may be doing this?

I also made sure that the clamps holding the new pipes were on tightly, and there was no play in the pipes either.

I bought my Gt2 with a muffler and resonator delete. The drone at highway speed is beyond unbearable, but I really like the straight pipe sound around town. Will reinstalling the resonators cut down on the highway speed drone?

I like it. Never annoyingly loud but I'd say most people would expect more sound and it would not produce enough sound for most people to do the mod
This is an honest review thank you. I’m trying to get more sound out. I already muff deleted too. It’s just not loud enough. I want at most 95dbs @ 3k rpm, CA rules.
