LOL sorry to hear that ....what a bummerWent to the shop and got the resonators deleted today. Took video but it's not worth posting. Didn't do much of anything. The stock resonators are basically straight pipes already.
Okay. I lied. After a couple days and cruising around with the windows down, it did change the sound and volume. I made the recordings with the windows up and based my opinion off the recordings. The sound from the intake masked the change after the resonator delete. I forgot how quiet the car actually is. I don't know if it's the noise canceling in the HK speakers or what (if your trim model has it)
With the windows down, there is a noticeable but subtle sound increase. Nothing too dramatic though. There is a slight drone. I'm sensitive to a drone in a car and would say that it is 30% to what I would consider anything to be annoying.
There is also a slight "gargle" at the very end of when all the air goes through the system after releasing very light throttle.
I'll try to post a video but it'll have to be in between buildings to capture the sound but should be a good representation being equalized by sound loss in a recording with a phone mic.
Ok, do you think is worth it for the cost? Am not looking for massive sound but some better then stock, I have the K&N intake so it might help it also.I've tried to get a sound clip but it's not loud enough. When I stick the phone out of the car the wind noise blocks it
Thanks for the update, am going to give it a tryI like it. Never annoyingly loud but I'd say most people would expect more sound and it would not produce enough sound for most people to do the mod
Let us know how you like itThanks for the update, am going to give it a try
Guys i will be posting video of DYI cold air intake or hot air intake.....
Check this outLol, careful. Some people get really upset when you call it that.
Check this out
LOL, their just upside down. I think it comes down also to the end game of what you want from your car.Can you translate? I don't understand Australian.
Kidding of course...mostly.
Their results were interesting. I've never fully bought into the claims that CAI will make huge gains. I've REALLY never believe what CAI makers claim their product makes on a dyno...I thoroughly believe they lie/misconstrue their results to sell more units.
HOWEVER, I do believe that a CAI (or whatever you wanna call it) is needed if someone is trying to squeak out every bit of extra power possible.
Thanks for posting.
