it is that way, the amp is in the trunk on a stinger
That doesnt make sense. If your fader is going to the rear and you are not in reverse or already in drive, it should not lower the sound. Mine happens when I use my bluetooth in drive position and it fades on me. I would call customer relations.

I just had my dealer tell me that they think based on the above section of the TSB that because I have Back Up Warning Priority and Start Up Volume turned on that they shouldn’t replace my radio.
I tried explaining to them thats not what that means but they weren’t having it.
Also if you complain that it's doing that when you either first start the car or in reverse, it makes sense and for those reason, they would not need to change your radio because it is working as intended. Let us know what they say. I have my appointment tomorrow for the same thing. I will turn those off and demo it to the technician.
I fully understand your point of view. My case is a bit different. When I switch to media to use the bluetooth and play music on my phone, it will play very loud then cut out. If I raise my volume I can hear a very faint music on my rear speaker. I go to the sound settings and you can see that the sound position moves to the rear. I re-adjust them back to the center, but it still plays to the rear and you can barely hear anything. In order to fix it, I have to reset the sound, pause the music on my phone and re-play it again, the sound gets a bit better but it doesnt play on all the speakers. I only hear it on the back and center up front. This also happened when I was talking on the phone I could barely hear the person on the other line. To some it's an annoyance, but if you are driving and have to fiddle with the infotainment it's not just distraction but also dangerous. Not 100% sure, but I think I remember I that this issue of the fader moving to the rear is triggered by a phone call with bluetooth. Now, if you go to the dealer with Back Up Warning Priority and Start Up Volume turned off and you can replicate issue by a phone call in front of them, I do believe they must accept it and replace the unit. You just have to give it try and find out if what I said is true or BS.
Personally I do not care too much about this issue anymore. It does happen to me (but I haven't checked how yet), and I wanted the unit to be replaced. Then I saw some pictures of someone else's car during the job. They have to take down too many things, way to many for such a small problem that takes basically 2 clicks to manually fix it. I don't feel like to do this to a car with less than 2k miles, risking rattling and other noises as consequence of that. But it's a personal opinion, and everyone is free to do whatever they want with their car.
Nice! So do you have to leave the car with them, or do you have to come back when the part arrives?Dealer called back and got the go ahead from KIA, I got a “no comment” when I asked them to confirm they read it wrong and I was right.

That sucks man, but I'm glad yours is getting fixed. Crossing my fingers for tomorrow. I hope they have the part in stock.
I’d be shocked if they have one in stock. It’s not something they would replace on a regular basis.
Yeah that's what it said on the tab. I'll tell them I want a new one.FYI - they are not new head units. They are remanufactured. My dealer got a head unit in, told me it was remanufactured, I said no way, and they got Kia to send a brand new head unit but it’s gonna take a while.
