I’m waiting until the Stinger comes to the US with ALL the colors and features that are available everywhere else in the world. It’s not asking for too much.... I’m afraid that KIa is going to make me wait so long that I end up buying something else.
Dont hold your breath!

Waiting to check out the G70 - love the hatchback style of the stinger, but I think the G70 may be more my style overall

Waiting on the 360 camera, wireless charging, etc.

If those are on the ‘19, I’ll likely get a stinger. If not, I’ll probably go with the G80 sport.

Me too. REALLY want the 360º camera and I would love to have the red interior on the white RWD GT2. Hoping that configuration is available on the '19's.

Given that the Atlantica’s MSRP will probably push 55-60k, this may have just pushed me into a Genesis G80 Sport rather than a stinger. Not as fun to drive, but more passenger space, more features, cost free maintenance for three years, and the same engine and a really nice car to drive, not to mention less expensive to lease.

Pretty sure the G70 has LESS passenger space, but I totally get you. As I knew my budget was strictly 2.0, the fact I was able to acquire a micro blue rwd with no options (not a fan of most of that stuff, tbh) alleviated the pain of seeing other forbidden fruits. But this seems almost like a slap in the face of GT + owners who had voiced their disapproval but pulled the trigger anyway thinking we wouldn't get those options until MY 2019 at least....

G70 is smaller, yes. But I’m interested in the G80 sport, which is larger. A RWD G80 sport has an MSRP of 55k.

D'oh!!!!! You are very right, and I need to learn to read with my eyes lol

Lol all good. I do think the G70 is now primed to crush the US market for whatever that’s worth. I hope for the sake of competition it does.

I'll wait for 360 camera, wireless charging, heated rear seat, no more fake aluminum trim, and White/Red color. May be an 10 inches screen.

The announcement of the Atlantica and mentioning the charging pad, 360º camera, and a new interior color just gives me more validation that waiting was the right thing to do, for me. I'm not interested in one, I want the micro blue, but I also want those features.

Well, they just announced the limited edition Atlantica for the US, ssooooo, they can do it..... But ONLY 500???

Supposedly they only did 400 of the Limited Edition Sunset Yellow and there are 4 in my area now. 500 might be plenty with these high lease numbers.

Big issue is the price. I could easily see MSRP being 55-60K on this limited edition. I think there will actually be a lot of these because I don’t know how many people are going to pay a 5-10k premium for a color and a 360 camera.

Given Kias MFs and residuals, that’s what, an $800 a month lease or $1,000 finance payment over five years? That’s gonna be a stretch.

How much is this Atlantica going to cost in the US? For features and a color that's available everywhere else in the world and charged less for? Will it be another $5k or $10k in the US (since there will only be 500 built and there will undoubtedly be dealer markup)? Now you're starting to get into Audi S5 Sportback money. And the Stinger doesn't have the fuel economy or the resale value of the S5. Sssooooo, maybe I need to rethink my purchase of the Stinger... I personally think this is a terrible idea. I think KIA should just bring the missing features and colors to the USA so we too can enjoy the car like everyone else in the world. Is this a KIA Global or a KIA USA decision???

Well... I hate to tell you this... BUT
In Australia we have that colour and all the so called extras are already on the top spec model. Not keen on the brown leather though. Seeing as it’s so hot Downunder we said no to the heated rear seats, but we have heated and cooled front seats. The badges, well we can do that ourselves.
Sorry guys no Atlantica version needed.

In addition to no rear heated seats, I thought you guys also didn't get the bigger screen on the highest trim either. At least, I haven't seen it in any of the Australian video reviews. Also, based on the website, it looks like there's an up-charge for the DCB color. If so, then that may not really make it too much different than making it a limited edition.

Either way, KIA using the 'Limited Edition' gimmick here could make it more difficult to get this at a reasonable price.
