Please share ways/actions to extend longevity of Stinger

I would recommend staying away from Armor All products.
If all you are doing is keeping door rubber from hardening,or cracking........I would /have used Fükken wax, euro cleaner /wax in a can.......stuff lasts for 6 month's doesn't matter where you use it.

I seen many a cracked dash , back in the day ,vinyl seats as well.....but I never bought a sunshade either I admit they are worth it, but I park in th shade or crack the windows reg
My MO is: Park, close the sunshade, crack down the back windows c. 1", put up the windshield screen; park in the shade if possible; park with the windshield facing away from the sun if possible.

yes, but that yawning rear window we have now, is like a flat magnifying glass , ya think?

A good set of winter tires if your gonna be chasing any reindeer.....the tires that come with it won't get you out of the driveway!

It's not that bad, not anywhere near as big of a heat collector as the windshield. And if you must, a reflecting sunscreen can be thrown down on the hatch cover.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The heat is over here, but uv rays are blocked are they not? My glasses (which use uv too darken) fail to darken when in any vehicle.
Any way I have a laser thermo next hot day I'll get a reading or two....might be awhile thou, like next summer...

Why's that? Not debating it.. just curious?
the silicone based liquid eventually speeds up the drying process and actually speeds up the decay of leather, rubber.

Cool, thanks for the info

I second this. I stay away from armor all. For cleaning, I use maguire's interior detailer. It doesnt make your interior glossy and doesnt attract dust like armor all. I've seen people who used armor all tend to have brittle interior after several years.

Unfortunately, we don't have engine oil temp gauges so you basically have to figure it out yourself. Coolant reaches operating temp within minutes, oil takes longer.
My GT1 has an oil temperature gauge. It is one of the three "Gauges", the others being Torque and Boost (Gauges are found under the Checkered Flag icon (Sport mode) on the LCD display.)

These are just some things I follow and it has always worked for me.

1. Dont let anyone drive your car. Not even the wife.
2. Learn how to properly wash your car and use the proper tools so you dont scratch the paint and keep it shiny.
3. Do some of the maintenance yourself and keep up with them. Oil changes, filter replacements are easy to do. At least you know they are done properly and cleanly.
4. Keep your interior clean, just as much as you clean the exterior. Set some rules regarding eating inside the car.
5. Park as far away as possible and learn how to properly use your mirrors to avoid scratching and hitting something.
6. Clean your car regularly so you can check for damages and can take corrective actions.

I hope that helps.
Classis...wife dont drive and no eating in mine. Even my 3yr old knows that no food or drink in "daddy's car" because it cant get dirty :)

Oil temp shows up under the "Gauges" screen...far most left option in my car...is this a GT2 option only?

Sunshade is a must to keep the UV off the dash...in AZ also a must for heat. I also tinted the windscreen with UV blocking tint to assist...primarily for heat.

Agreed, Armor All over time will kill the interior. I am trying a combo of Griots and Chemical Guys Leather Cleaners and Oils and they seem to work well. Cleans well, nice matte finish and nice smells...i suppose time will tell on these products.

Great idea on the door seals by the way...never really thought of conditioning those!

You can sit on that stuff without it darkening your clothes?

currently I am using this:

Leather Milk Conditioner and Cleaner for Furniture, Cars, Purses and Handbags. All-Natural, Non-Toxic Conditioner Made in the USA. Leather Care Liniment No. 1. 2 Sizes. Includes Premium Applicator Pad

The leather cleaner and conditioner combo pack is a bit pricey, but it seems to work well. I used Lexol before, they are good too, but they seem a bit sticky to me so you have to let it dry or do a second wipe.

Okay guys best interior detailing spray/protectant on the market is "303 Aerospace Protectant"...it produces a nice matte finish and it even has UV protection. I've been using it for years and it's never failed me, it's not greasy, you can use it on plastic, rubber, leather etc. but it's best served to wipe down your dash and plastics. Bonus, it's made in the USA.

I actually have that too. I've only used it so far on engine plastics. Once my interior detailer is done, I'm gonna use the 303.
