Anyone else having issues with the paint chipping and the car showing rust through the paint? Chrome exterior rusting and roof stripes are cracked from front windshield to rear. I know the yellow stingers had a recall last year. I drive a silver stinger and it is ridiculous how much paint is coming off and the rust is out of this world! Should not be experiencing this kind of issues with a 2018 model. I have contacted an attorney. Anyone else want to join in on a class action lawsuit?

I would give Kia a chance to review and offer a solution , starting the process with a lawyer wont likely end the way you want
Thanks but I have contacted Kia of America directly 3 weeks ago just to get a letter stating that the paint issue wasn't reported until after the 12,000 mile mark therefore it is not considered a "lemon". I have filed a complaint with BBB Auto around the same time that I contacted Kia Headquarters and I'm still waiting on a response from them. It's not just the paint that's the issue. Around 3500 miles, the ENTIRE fueling system malfunctioned and had to be replaced. Not to mention the faulty sensor at 4200 miles letting me know all 4 tires were flat when there was nothing wrong with the tires. And how many recalls on this particular style car so far?? Last I counted was 4 so far! The car has rust on all sides coming through the paint, all exterior chrome has rusted and the paint on the roof is cracked from front to back.
Kia knew about the paint issues way before now but hoped no one would say anything and fall back on the warranty. I'm not an expert by no means but I do know that repainting a new car decreases it's value under the SC Lemon Law.

Thanks....I have contacted an attorney already. She is getting the class action lawsuit together.Oh...there's also another class action suit against Kia Stingers as of Nov. 7th. Apparently the automatic windows are amputating fingers which was designed to retract as a "safety" feature.

Your attorney has already started working on a class action lawsuit prior to getting more people on board? I think she's doing this wrong. Doesn't a class action lawsuit require more than one claimant?

Nope, I live in SC. No salt around here except around the beach which is over 2 hours away from me.

I have a Silky Silver 2018 Premium built in, I believe, December 2017 or January 2018. It is actually my second Silky Silver Stinger. The original base 2.0 I sold to Carvana before they knew what a true market value of this car is. That has changed. Neither of the cars showed any rust or excessive chipping except for the following.....the base model hood latch was rusting where it contacted its adjoining latch on the body. I found this, within a few months of ownership, to be quite strange. My current Premium is not doing this and neither are several of my much older vehicles. However, the premium does seem to have a slightly higher tendency to chip and mar compared to the base model. Nothing that I would deem excessive however. I've applied some PPF on the front to stop this.

The cracking roof rails is a known issue with many reporting that. As to why it is occurring I do not know. It should NOT be happening however.
Those rust specs are rail dust. You can remove that with a product called Iron-X.
The cracking looks like it's on the plastic weather stripping? Hard to tell exactly.
Did you take the car to the dealership before writing to Kia? I'm sure someone there could have told you how to remove the rail dust and they could have replaced the plastic cracking.

I'd be interested to see the rusted chrome you mention, as I'm not aware of any conventional metal chrome plating used anywhere on the car (electroplated chrome over nickel over metal). Pictures, please.
All of the 'chrome' on my car is plastic (pretty much par for the course these days), which of course doesn't rust.
