OIL CATCH CANS ARE NOW AVAILABLE!!!

So some questions:
1) What advantage do these provide? The install looks easy enough and I'd be putting these on an aftermarket CAI (stillen maybe)
2) How often do they need to be drained?
3) Can these be powder coated in a different color?

they can be powder coated. He has a handful of colors but they look pretty good. Dont quite match manufacturer paint job. They work pretty well with his tune, by themselves I doubt it offers much improvement. The intercooler will be the real winner and he should be putting one up for sale soon last I remember. For more information I would check out torkmotorsports YouTube. He explains more on his install guide.

1. I found this great video, just wanted to share

Guys whoever using it on a stock engine, can you keep updated how much oil gets caught in there.

So, I received both catch cans and will be returning them. I'll admit the breather side catch can I was unable to try and install, I could not get the factory hose to disconnect to attempt to install. Even after removing the brackets the dang hose would not budge no matter how much twisting, pulling, or swearing I did. So that's fully on me.

However, the PVC side can was defective. I was able to get everything disconnected but when I went to place the PVC catch can the bottom mounting bracket was too short, or the top bracket wasn't high enough. Either way, the whole can leaned back and was not level. The top mounting bracket was unable to be made flush when the bottom bracket was put into place.

I'll add that the placement of the optional drains ($40 each) was questionable. There may be a reason for it but the drains are mounted on the sides of the can. This means that there will have to be a significant of caught oil before it can just be opened and drained, even then there will be leftover waste in the can. To fully empty the cans you would have to unmount them, defeating the purpose of the optional drains.

Thanks. I'll think I'll pass on this particular vendor. I was on the fence for a while and I've been hunting for catch cans. Several issues have been raised and the quality seems to be lacking for a $400+ product.

i just drained my pcv side --- running 100% stock except for tork intakes
had a decent amount of oil drain from pcv side
haven't checked the breather side but definitely had a good amount of oil drained from pcv ~ 3-4k miles on it

Thanks you. Seems like catch can will be very useful then.

the factory hoses were definitely a pain removing, always felt i was on the edge of snapping plastic.
im sure if there is a defect in the measurement of your pcv side, tork would fix it - try reaching out to them they've been pretty responsive when i've emailed.
you are probably correct that some oil gets left over at the bottom due to the placement of the drain valves.. but its probably fine as long as you drain the catch cans once a month i assume. since its a black box, i don't know exactly how its made but wouldn't the internal baffles make the oil stay in the occ and not go into the engine anyway?

I removed and drained both on mine today. This is about 1000 miles and 400 of them with a tune box. The breather was completely dry. I couldn't get or see anything inside. The pcv however had more than I expected. I spilled a lot before getting t the small bottle under to catch the oil. So take what you see and double it.

It took maybe 3 minutes to remove both and 5 minutes to put back.

@Sales-Tork Can you post pictures or a detailed description of the interior of the cans? I'm seriously annoyed by the large number of "catch cans" that are little more than a metal plate or a small fiber element as opposed to the ones that use actual separator media or a usefully complex internal design. I'm more than willing to spend appropriately, just curious how many tricks you've packed into these little black boxes.
Thanks!

@Sales@Tork Question when you drain the OCC ....can you clean the occ with brake cleaner... how do prevent oil build up at the bottom of the can....can you please and flush with water and brake cleaner....how do you clean....

I'm a new Stinger owner and I'm currently researching catch cans for my first (and hopefully only) purchase. I'd love to hear some long-term ownership testimonies on these particular cans (from Damn Fast / Tork Motorsports). In particular:

1. How long have you had your Damn Fast / Tork Motorsports catch cans?
2. What do you like best about them?
3. What do you like least about them?
4. How easy are they to maintain?
5. Are the bolts on the breather side as awkward to get to as they seem? Any tips/tricks/tools that would make them easier to manage?
6. Anything else you'd like to share about them?
