You'd think.Haven’t seen anything in any of the info about that. I would think that if that were the case they would have zeroed in on the fix pretty quickly.

I found a mouse nest on my cabin air filter, which is not far from fuse box. Apparently some cars are prone to having mice nest on cabin air filters, and apparently wiring insulation is soy based which is tasty to mice. I wonder if there is a connection...maybe rodents damaging wiring around HECU
Ha, small world indeed. I would've gone for the black, but my last car I had for 8 years was black and my wife wasn't feeling it anymore. It's a family car, though mostly mineHi Johnny,
This could be funny, but I bought my 2019 GT2 from Smithtown in March also. I remember the finance manager saying that two other people picked up the last two white on red they had and no one wanted to touch the orange special addition. I was happy that I got the last black on black.
Hope you are enjoying the car.
Agreed. Interested to see what is meant by a "new fuse kit"? If it's a bunch of new fuses that they swap out i'm not quite sure that is going to solve any issue other than serve as a placebo...Would love a pic of the fix if anyone can get one
Anyone see if it's in the KGIS system yet photographed?
Not placebo. Fuses are used to limit current in a circuit effectively protecting the wire from overheat. I predicted this fix and reasons why I thought they may be doing it in this thread (Post #56)Agreed. Interested to see what is meant by a "new fuse kit"? Yes that was a good call. Looks like you nailed it.Not placebo. Fuses are used to limit current in a circuit effectively protecting the wire from overheat. I predicted this fix and reasons why I thought they may be doing it in this thread (Post #56)
There are fuses that exist already (obviously). I'm interested to see if this is a like for like replacement of existing fuses or some new additional fuse kit.Not placebo. Fuse kit, so they’re installing net new fuses to protect a potential malfunctioning circuit? Interested to see what circuit gets fixed and why it didn’t have a fuse already. Not placebo. Yikes, 20 models of Hyundai’s and Kia’s have been recalled since 2015 for fires? I have faith they’ll make things right because I absolutely love this car. At least this isn’t as bad as the takata airbag, chevy ignition or Toyota gas pedal recalls.![]()
Hyundai, Kia fined for delaying US engine failure recalls
Hyundai and Kia will spend $137 million on fines and safety improvements because they moved too slowly to recall over 1 million U.S. vehicles with engines that can failabcnews.go.com
