Navigation Update V14 due out April 20, 2020

It did, but menus have changed--you enter address as [number] [street] {city] [state] with single space betwen on input line after pressing on magnifying glass on map. No more address icon and input fields.
Any chance you would be willing to clone the SD card and upload the files?

Using 7zip I got a CRC32 checksum for data: 13E17531
Checksum for data and names: 5FA0610A

Is that what you got?

I'm hashing the files extracted and right clicking "2018_Stinger_USA" folder and then doing the hash check. This are my results for both Google Drive download and the download folder from the Update Tool:

Folders: 46
Files: 775
Size: 23994839433 bytes (22 GiB)
CRC32 checksum for data: 9F75767F
CRC32 checksum for data and names: F01B927F

I got the exact same numbers so my download is no better than what others have posted. Well, it was worth a try.

How do I tell what version navigation I have from the info in the below picture?

I just did the update from a blank SD card with @JohnL files unzipped to it. worked like a charm.

How did you copy the files over? What format on the SD card?

I tried to create a "vfat32" sd card from Linux and copied all the files over, and got "could not authenticate navigation". Tried twice.

Does it HAVE to be a 32GB card? I got a 64 GB sdxc mini card (with adapter). It recognized it, and saw there was an update and went away for 5-7 minutes doing stuff, so it has to be able to read it somehow..

I didn’t even format the card. It was a 32gb sandisk full size SD card, no adapter. Deleted all the files on it, unzipped the zip files directly to the sd card on a Mac. I think they come fat32 already.

Thanks. I'm trying the downloader program - it specifically says it *HAS* to be 32 GB and below. So, I'm going to pick up a 32 GB card at Staples..

Seems that the Fat32 limit is 32 GB, which is why all this is happening.

I just completed the update for my 2019 GT2 using the stock Kia SD card that came with the car. I tried using @JohnL files but was unsuccessful. I used the Kia Navaigator computer app, which took about 45 mins to download the files to the SD card. Then took about 20 mins updating in the car.

Has anyone successfully updated a 2018 Stinger? If so, can you list what methods you used?

And that worked? I tried downloading using the app, and it got suck around 87%..

The reason I uploaded the files is because some people can download the files from Kia and some cannot. No one knows why but, if you can't get it to work and you keep trying, it will probably never work for you. We don't know if it's a geographic problem or what. Since I was able to complete the download I placed the files on a sharing site so people could have access to them.

Fyi, the files I uploaded are in a multi-part zip file. You need to unzip the files and copy all of those files to the root of the SD card. One program that I know works to unzip the files is 7-zip which is free. There is a photo of the file structure in a previous post.

The downloading method has not worked for the 2018. If you want the update right now you'll probably need to purchase the update from Kia Mapcare | Customer Login

It will cost you $25.00 plus shipping.

It did. I changed the region to United States before downloading, like someone had shown in a previous post.

I copied all the original files on my stock Kia SD card to my computer first, so I still had them in case. At first, I tried @JohnL files, unzipped them, and placed them on the card. But when I tried updating in the car it kept telling me to try again. Maybe its because I didn't format the card first. So I just tried using the Kia navigation computer app. It took forever but it completed first time around.

I bought a new SD card, downloaded the files from the Google Drive link since my downloads kept getting interrupted at 84%, unzipped, copied to the new card and then swapped cards. Install was a breeze from there, taking about 25 minutes of idling.

Update: with a 32 GB card, everything worked great. Thanks JohnL for the files! Bonus: Staples gave me a "we'll refund your price, no need to return the item", so I got a 32 GB card + 64 GB micro card for $9.99 + tax! :-)

I know some people mentioned that the speed of SD Card didn't matter, but I did some benchmarks myself to verify. Between a Sandisk Ultra, Kia official card, and Sandisk High Endurance 32GB card there was zero difference in boot-up time. Oh well.

@JohnL, now I’m wondering what will happen if I try to update my 2018 with the 2019/2020 files
I have absolutely no idea. The model numbers are different so there are probably hardware differences. I haven't heard of anyone bricking their radios with an update. I really don't know what to tell you.
