Navigation Update V14 due out April 20, 2020

just out of curiosity, if you know how to do it, can you try deleting the phone pairing from both the car and the phone and re-pairing it to see if they pop back up? and, what software version is the santa fe running?
I have in the past un-paired and re-paired my iPhone 11 to my Stinger and no luck bringing back those icons.
I took a picture of my wife’s and my cars system info screens.
What I have noticed is that my Nav Screen when showing the speed limit signs has no problem showing the right speed limits for 30, 40, 55, 65 and 75MPH, but rarely shows 45MPH.

I never paid any attention to those prior to doing the update. But now that I have, there they are: Carrier (currently), cell type and signal strength, Blue Tooth if active, wifi signal strength, battery charge level. Kind of handy. Also I like now having the speed showing on the map.

My wife’s car shows all the icons, as you can tell from my pictures, but mine does not.
Maybe my software version is not up to spec?

your santa fe is on an older software version, so that explains why it still has the icons. they were done away with in a newer release. if you update that car, those will probably be gone too.

thanks for the re-pairing, I was curious to see if that would bring them back. I'm not so sure I'm going to update. I like having those up there. not sure why someone thought that would be better disabled.

Hmmmmm..... Mine doesn't seem to have a problem with 45 in particular. It is as likely to show up as any other. But fairly frequently it doesn't show any? And often is wrong, e.g., with a posted limit of 75, it may show 75 for a while, then 70 for a while, and then 75 again. It is quite responsive to the physical signs. When the posted limit changes, within a few feet, the nav will display the new value.

Now this is true for V12.5 where mine was. After the V14 update, I haven't put on enough miles to get a feel for how it behaves now - or possible relative changes.

Can I update mine free of charge to V14?
Mine moves around from 30 to 40 and then back to 30.
Like I said it picks up all other speed limits except 45 for the most parts, but on an earlier ride it did pick up one 45 speed limit sign for me.

Looks like V13.5 to V14 is the single biggest update to date.
So many new features.

What site says your car supports wireless android auto?
Additionally, what site says Canadian stingers have WiFi?

Mine has LTE connected services... but no WiFi
The American market Stingers have wifi, but it can't be used to connect to AA. It could be as easy as a firmware change, but the wifi in the cars may not run on the correct band for AA. That's at least what I've gathered from past research.

911 Assist or whatever Kia calls it. If the airbags deploy and a phone is paired via Bluetooth, it'll call 911 automatically.

Android or iOS? also try poping the SD card out and back in again -

I thought only 2018 USDM had wifi?

Thank you; done.

My 2020 GT1 right out of the gate did not show the signal and battery status icons like my 2016 Optima did or my wife’s current 2020 Santa Fe Limited which I don’t like at all.
I see those icons only when on a call.

you probably on the older firmware ... I didnt update as I did not see any value yet to do it and didnt want to lose the battery indicator of my connected phone lol

The red asterisk means that I have one or more emergency contacts on my iPhone.

So, is there a way to get this without paying? Even 13.5 would be an upgrade but I don't see anywhere to download it without paying. I don't NEED to update but if it's free, why not.

once they update the site, which is supposedly today, you should be able to download 14 for free onto your own SD card.
