• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Sorry cant post the link as I'm a newb. It's the only item in the store that appears to fit but just want to make sure.

Bought these badges from eBay and got the dealer to put them on

with all of the delays, uncertainties and the dealers' attitudes in this sellers market I am considering getting a Hyundai i30 N DCT 8-sp 2L Turbo with all the bells and whistles and saving myself $20K as well. I have been driving the i30 SR Premium for 3.5 years, it has been flawless and fun.

Am I crazy?

No, I thought of that too, but it is a really different car.

Avec roof wrap and window tints. Not 100% sure. Difficult to know where to stop the black.

I think it looks great! Can we see the sides and rear of it too, please?

Just came back from a mid week getaway, managed 7.4L/100km on the highway. Beats my previous best of 7.9 in a VF SV6.

I do think I’ve got a rattle in the boot, as well as what sounds like near the front right wheel and something in the dash on the left side or the sunroof (can’t figure out where it’s coming from yet). It was quite a harsh road and the tyres were reading at 42-43psi which seems a little high! Will lower that down

has anyone used Private Fleet, Georgie or other broker? What are your views on / experiences with using them?

Is it me or do the colours seem better quality on the MY21 over the MY20. I say that dark grey in a dealer the other day and really did thinkit was better quality than my Deep Chroma Night Sky.

TLDR; before ordering, ask how many orders per month he can submit, and how many existing orders from their dealership are ahead of yours. If you want your car fast, take stock or try to order from the biggest KIA dealer you can find.

So i got some further insight into delays etc.
Was speaking to the stock controller for the dealer i purchased through.

After him telling me my car is delayed now until june or july, then me hitting the f*#kin roof, before he found a note stating that actually my car will be delivered end of march.

Well during that exchange he told me he is only allowed to order 2 stingers per month. Regardless of how many he has sold. This limit is placed on him by KIA and there are similar limits on the entire KIA range.

So as we suspected, different dealers do get preferential treatment. Those dealers who sell larger amounts of cars are given the biggest allocation the following year.

So what this means in practice, is a dealer with a limit of 2 orders per month. Say he sells 6 cars in that month... For the 5th and 6th car he wont even be able to put the order in for 3 months! Then if you're unlucky to have ordered a colour combination which isnt just stock but requires factory build, well then your waiting a minimum of 6 to 7 months for your car.

The limits sucks and that is outside of the dealers control, what is however in control of the dealer is how transparent they choose to be with prospective customers about their backlog etc.

Thanks for the insight. I’ve been waiting 3 months already and I’ve been told to wait another 2 1/5 months ..

Latest review from CarAdvice.

Sadly there was no mention by that new CarAdvice reviewer about what the new bimodal exhaust sounds like, nor any comparison (e.g., how loud the new exhaust is) to the dealer-fit bimodal available on the pre-facelift cars.

Just picked up my MY21 GT pearl white yesterday, from NSW. I guess it was on the Glovis Condor all along, car was manufactured this year in 27th Jan 2021. I hope other users in the forum receive their orders soon

Did it have the new Kia logo ? I see some US customers have started to receive them.
