October'17 no issues.
Nov. 2018, lessee, fuel rail replaced, transmission logic reboot, 2 wastegate failures, hatch rattle, and a fuel pump replacement . This was from the service dept. of the original dealer, car was returned under the lemon law and all defects were repaired.....car went to auction, picked up by another kia dealer and then I came along. Bought it on the spot thousands less than new , and put over 2000 miles on her so far with zero issue's....and I'm not a candy ass, I treat it like the hemi I traded it in for to get it!!!
Hi @Crisis , there is a label attached underneath the front bonnet, close to the edge where you open it from, with month and year, that is the build date looking for this poll, but if you need the exact day it was built , i don't think it's on the car , might be in your paperwork maybe, not sure. How do you find the exact build date? The plate on the door jamb gives the month & year only.

yup I'll fix it, my bad.I assume you meant Nov 2017?
Inside of driver's door frame is the spec sticker. It shows the build month. (I had to ask too, or I read it here first; can't recall for sure.I feel dumb, but how would I find out what month and year my car was built?
Thanks. I feel a bit cheated, bought mine end of Sept 2018, the car I got was made 12/17. Have one issue, the stereo: The fading of the stereo and the centering of the sound keeps moving back.Inside of driver's door frame is the spec sticker. It shows the build month. Some have had this self correct. Some have hit the "reset" button (to the right of the "RADIO" button). Drastic measures have been taken by some and the entire "unit" has been replaced under warranty. May your pesky audio fade have mercy on you! Thanks. What button is the reset button? The one that kind of looks like a star? Some have had this self correct. Some have hit the "reset" button (to the right of the "RADIO" button). It's the little round black indent on the black panel with word "PASSENGER" and the seatbelt icon on it. I understand that you push that reset button in with a ballpoint pen or similar, then watch the system do its thing, whatever the heck that is!? Anyway, some have tried that; some said it turned the trick and others not. The most mysterious complainants are the ones who have said, "In the morning it was back to normal and I haven't had a fade to the rear in months." Hmm!What button is the reset button? There's also a sticker attached under your bonnet/hood when it's raised.I feel dumb, but how would I find out what month and year my car was built?
Hey there @Jimmer , the dealership should have been upfront with you, in regards to the build date, personally it would bother me big time, and according to the poll , Nov '17 and Dec '17 built Stingers are currently leading the way, but most probably sold sometime in 2018, being aware of the build date would have helped, i bought my Stinger in Nov '17 but insisted on a Jan '18 build date, hope your Stinger gives you no issues and you just enjoy it, the only issue i can possibly think of is if you go to sell it, and the resale value is lower because it's a 2017 model, sorry to hear this has happened to you, that's not acceptable on behalf of the dealership at all.Thanks.
