NY Some folks stated no problems on map1 without new plugs....but if I was spending my money on a JB4 I wouldn't wanna just run map 1....map1 is fun for about a day or two until you get some new plugs....im stock cept for K&N drop in filters ....map3 and map5 is real neck snapping fast....OH don't forger to install the fuel wires along with obdi connect to get full benefits out of the JB4 :) Wash

I am close to pulling the plug and ordering , with the denso spark plugs, but what is the fuel wires and obdi connect?

So how do I move logs from app to that forum?
Email the logs to yourself from the app. Then download the log on your PC and attach to a post.

Fuel wires allow the JB4 to modify air fuel ratios much better and they are required to make more power. The connect kit (bluetooth or wired) allows you to connect your smart phone / laptop to the JB4 to change maps, log, etc. I recommend the bluetooth kit. The OBD connection is included with all products so you can gather info from the car in order to make more power and enable logging (but you need the bluetooth kit or the wired kit to log)

None of this is required, you can simply buy the JB4 and plug in 2 sensors and be on your way making more power, around ~30whp.
Add fuel wires on map 1 and you're +50whp from stock.
Connect your device to change to map 2 and you're +65whp from stock.
Add 30% E85 and an intake on map 5 and you're +115whp from stock.

You can make a lot more than 30whp on the base JB4 without fuel wires. But, we suggest them for those who are looking to maximize performance especially at higher RPM. Can always add them later if you want too.

Gear itself not yet, so we use road speed to "guess" at gear for boost by gear. For now. We're working on getting actual gear reading off trans in there. :)

Map 2 is almost 385whp. So with full aftermarket exhaust from main cat, intakes, denso plugs at .22 and jb4 map 2 I should be way over 400 wheel hp on 93 octane. Also should be over 475 torque I would think.

Ps this jb4 kicks the racechip in the ding ding.Car is amazing now with all mods and jb4 spectacular tell the team at bms awesome job so far. Thanks terry for all your great videos and answering us all back as much as possible it really helps us no tech heck’s out here. Thank you

While we're talking about different maps and what not, how much is 'too much' timing to pull back? Like, if we see a reduction of 1.5 deg in a log does that mean the map is too aggressive? Or should we not worry until it pulls back 3 degrees? 17 degrees at 5552, 15.5 degrees at 5657, 18 degrees at 5889. Is that a big deal?

Any idea what type of rwhp is gained from map 3 without fuel wires? I don't think I've ever seen a chart for that.

Maybe I’m reading this wrong, but that’s not doesn’t show anything but the timing - it will vary through a run.

What you to avoid is (-) time advances. That’s pulled timing. As long you are adding timing that’s okay.

Tends to misfire at higher boost levels without fuel control, so would be very hit and miss.

Looking at graphs doesn’t really help much, but you want to show timing advance option to see what is being pulled or added.

Ya I working on figuring this thing out . No tech here.lol

I guess I’ll know if something is wrong if pistons fly through hood.

Knock knock . Who’s there, piston, piston who, bet you wish your pistons where stronger. Bad humor

That red line is ign1, which is timing advance.
